"There's No Place I'd Rather Be" is a song sung by Singaporean artiste, Kit Chan. Along with Will you, it serves as the official theme to the National Day Parade in 2007. The single is one of the few National Day Parade themes that doesn't mention Singapore's name. The song was originally written for Singapore Polytechnic's, "Musical Superstar: The Pop Musical". It was later sung by Project SuperStar finalist, Kelly Poon before being commissioned as an official National Day Parade theme in 2007.

As with every other NDP music video, the music video is usually sponsored by a locally established company. For this short film, DBS Bank was the official sponsor.

The Singapore National Day Parade (NDP) is an annual parade held in the city-state of Singapore. Held annually on 9 August, it is the main public celebration of National Day.

Richard Lee Peng Boon is a Singaporean singer-songwriter, playwright and film director.

Home (家), sung by Kit Chan, was composed by Dick Lee in 1998 as the first in a series of yearly songs commissioned for Singapore's National Day Parade, together with the other NDP song that year titled as City For The world. It has English and Chinese versions, both sung by Kit. In 2004, it was remixed for three child soloists, one of whom was young actress and singer Shanice Elizabeth Nathan. The children were accompanied by a girls' choir and the piece was reused as the National Day song for 2004. In 2010, Kit performed the song at the 2010 National Day Parade. The song was well received, being considered one of the best National Day Songs, and is still being used in National Day Parades as of 2019.

Majulah Singapura is the national anthem of Singapore. Composed by Zubir Said in 1958 as a theme song for official functions of the City Council of Singapore, the song was selected in 1959 as the island's anthem when it attained self-government. Where I Belong is an EP released in 2001 by Singaporean singer and songwriter, Tanya Chua. It was officially commissioned as the theme song to the 2001 National Day celebrations in Singapore. The song is easily recognized by many for its rocky tune and smooth melody. In Singapore, the song became an immediate hit after its release. Reaching number one status by mid July 2001. It is the first and only EP to be released in NDP history. Twelve years later at NDP 2013, this song was sung by the combined schools choir, acknowledging the arrival of former prime ministers, Mr Lee Kuan Yew and ESM Goh Chok Tong.

Nathaniel Hartono Xiang, popularly known as Nathan Hartono is an Indonesian born Singaporean singer-songwriter and actor. Nathan made his debut as a singer after he won the Teenage Icon singing competition in 2005 and released his debut album, LET ME SING! Life, Love and All That Jazz in 2006. Nathan also ventured into acting and starred in his first television series, Halfworlds in 2015. As the first runner-up of the first season of Sing! China, as of January 2017 he also works with the committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL) to enrich the learning of the Chinese language among Singapore students. Hartono became the first foreigner to sing for Singapore’s National Day Parade (NDP) theme song.

"Love at First Light" is a song by Singaporean artiste, Olivia Ong and child actress, Natanya Tan. Written by Paul Tan and composed by Iskandar Ismail, it was officially commissioned as the official theme song to the 2012 national day parade of Singapore, together with the 1995 National Day Parade song, My People, My Home which was reused for National Day in 2012. On the 9 August, the song was performed twice. Once by the combined school-choir and later by the duo themselves in a techno pop version. The techno pop version was incorporated into a medley, which includes song like "Stand Up For Singapore", "One People, One Nation, One Singapore", "Count On Me Singapore", "Home" and "We Are Singapore". The song's title is a play on the phrase, "Love at first sight".

Stella Seah is a Singaporean singer-songwriter currently signed under Ocean Butterflies Music. She was discovered after winning Starhub's first reality singing contest, Academy Fantasia in 2012. She was also a semi-finalist on Campus Superstar in 2007. In admiration of her perseverance to pursue a career as a singer, an anonymous sponsor had also provided her with funding for her final year of studies in LASALLE's Diploma in Music programme. Seah is also a member of singing-songwriting duo StellaVee.
