Blue October is an American alternative rock band originally from Houston, Texas. The band was formed in 1995 and currently comprises singer/guitarist Justin Furstenfeld, drummer Jeremy Furstenfeld, multi-instrumentalist Ryan Delahoussaye, bassist Matt Noveskey, and lead guitarist Will Knaak. The band has had seventeen Top 40 singles on the alternative rock chart over their past eight studio albums and are best known for their platinum singles "Hate Me" and "Into the Ocean" from their 2006 platinum album Foiled.

Much media comment was made regarding a rumoured fall-out over the sessions, when it became known that Garbage produced a further mix of "Milk" that only incorporated Tricky's vocals from that session.

She Wants Revenge was an American rock band, based in San Fernando Valley, California; they were active 2004–2012, and 2015–2020. Personnel were singer/guitarist Justin Warfield and multi-instrumentalist Adam Bravin. Their music was influenced by post-punk, darkwave and gothic rock. The band has sold more than 300,000 records in the US.
"Hate Me" is a song by American alternative rock group Blue October. It was the band's most commercially successful single, peaking at number two on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart and number 31 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. In 2007, the video for the song was nominated for a MuchMusic Video Award for best international video. The video is featured in the 2007 karaoke video game for PlayStation 2, Singstar Pop. The song won an ASCAP award in 2007. On July 13, 2012, the song was certified platinum for sales of one million in the United States.
