Richard Gonzalez, better known by his stage name Richard "Humpty" Vission, is a Canadian house music producer, remixer, and DJ.

Gaga speaks the first verse and parts of the chorus of the song in faux-German, as the name of the song is German. The lyrics have a feminist tone, speaking of female empowerment.

The location is loosely based on the Cecil Hotel, marked by deaths and tragedies.
