They Call Me Baba Booey is an autobiography by radio producer Gary Dell'Abate with Chad Millman. In December 2010, InfoMania interviewed Dell'Abate about the book. Published by Villard, an imprint of Random House, the book was released on November 2, 2010. [1]

Release

On April 28, 2010, the day of the book's announcement, about 20,000 words had been compiled. [2] Dell'Abate reportedly signed a six-figure deal with Random House for his memoirs. [3] In early 2019, Howard Stern and his staff determined that the book's lists still hold up. [4] As of April 19 2024 it still holds up.

Calls from listeners are taken and celebrity guests occasionally sit in. It used to have other Howard Stern employees from their back office sit in on a consistent basis, but the platform has since changed.

The show aired on Howard 100 and Howard 101 on SIRIUS XM Radio, during certain weeks when the Stern Show was on vacation. Janks and The Washington Post have described the calls as commentary on the lack of source verification done in news outlets. All of Janks' calls reference Howard Stern and his radio series, and the Captain Janks alter ego has become a recurring character on the show.
