He won a bronze medal in the boys' 200 m breaststroke at the 2012 European Junior Swimming Championships in Antwerp, Belgium with a time of 2:15.46. Bolkvadze is also trained by his personal coach Irina Minjulina.
Kevin Cordes is an American competitive swimmer who specializes in the breaststroke. He currently represents the Cali Condors which is part of the International Swimming League. Cordes was a member of the 2016 US Men's Olympic Swimming Team. He took 4th place in the Men's 100m Breaststroke at the 2016 Olympic Games. He is the current American record holder in the 50-meter and 100-meter breaststroke, and the 200-meter breaststroke.

He is the current holder of the world record in 50 metre and 100 metre breaststroke events.
