Karuppu Raja known for his stage name Ganja Karuppu is an Indian actor who has predominantly appeared in comedy roles in Tamil cinema. Kalavani (transl. Thief) is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film written and directed by newcomer A. Sarkunam. It stars Vimal and debutante Oviya, with Saranya Ponvannan, Ganja Karuppu and Ilavarasu in supporting roles. The film was made on a shoe-string budget, and released on 25 June 2010. and became a sleeper hit of 2010. Later the movie was remade in Kannada as Kirataka with Oviya reprising her role.
Aravaan (transl. Snake) is a 2012 Indian Tamil language epic historical film directed by Vasanthabalan, based on Su. Venkatesan's novel Kaaval Kottam. It was released in 2012 and stars Aadhi, Dhansika, Archana Kavi and Pasupathy. Kabir Bedi has a prominent role and Bharath is also featured in a cameo role. The film marks noted playback singer Karthik's debut as a music director. Aravaan was released on 2 March 2012 to mixed reviews and had moderate earnings at the box office.

Vaagai Sooda Vaa is a 2011 Tamil-language period drama film directed by A. Sarkunam, making it his second film after Kalavani (2010). It stars Vimal and Ineya, with Bhagyaraj, Ponvannan and Thambi Ramaiah playing supporting roles. The film is a period piece set in the 1960s in a remote village in Tamil Nadu. The film released on 30 September 2011 to mostly positive reviews but become an average grosser. The film was subsequently honored with the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil for 2012.

Eetti (transl. Spear) is a 2015 Tamil-language sports action film written and directed by Ravi Arasu and produced by S. Michael Rayappan. The film stars Atharvaa and Sri Divya, while G. V. Prakash Kumar composed the film's music. The film was released on 11 December 2015.
