This Is a Wasteland is a documentary film following Pierce the Veil's first world tour. It was directed by Dan Fusselman, and produced by MotionArmy. The camera was led by Dan Fusselman himself (United States, United Kingdom and South America) and Josiah van Dien (Australia and Southeast Asia). The photos for the inlay were shot by photographer Adam Elmakias. The DVD is only available in the English language.
The documentary follows Pierce the Veil during their first world tour, in support of their third album, Collide with the Sky (2012). It begins with their shows in Southeast Asia, followed by their first ever appearance at the Soundwave Festivals in Australia, the U.S. tour with All Time Low, a club tour in the United Kingdom, their first appearance at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park and ends with their first concert tour in South America.
The film shows snippets from their shows at international music festivals such as the Soundwave Festival, Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, Slam Dunk Festival, as of shows in Southeast Asia, the United States, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Argentina and the United Kingdom. The documentary also shows their appearance at the 2013 Kerrang! Awards in London. The film also gives an insight of the band's hectic life during the tour. [1] [2]
The DVD also features the music videos for "Bulls in the Bronx", "Hell Above" and "King for a Day", the latter of which received a Kerrang! Award for the best music video in 2013.
The documentary is a direct-to-DVD release which was released in the U.S. on November 11, 2013 as a bonus disc for the reissue of their third album Collide with the Sky , selling 30,000 in its first week resulting in a re-entry of the album at 62 on the US Billboard 200 charts. Bullet for My Valentine, often abbreviated as BFMV, are a Welsh heavy metal band from Bridgend, formed in 1998. The band is currently composed of Matthew Tuck, Michael Paget, Jason Bowld (drums) and Jamie Mathias. Former members include Michael Thomas, Jason James and Nick Crandle; the latter were on bass. They were formed under the name Jeff Killed John and started their music career by covering songs by Metallica and Nirvana. Jeff Killed John recorded six songs which were not released; two of these tracks were reworked later in their career as Bullet for My Valentine. A change of style from that of Jeff Killed John led the band to change their name. In 2002, the band secured a five-album deal with Sony BMG. The band has stated that their music is influenced by classic metal acts such as Metallica, Iron Maiden and Slayer. The band is part of the Cardiff music scene.
Creeper are an English rock band from Southampton. Formed in 2014, the group originally featured vocalist Will Gould, guitarists Ian Miles and Sina Nemati, bassist Sean Scott, and drummer Dan Bratton. The band independently released their self-titled debut EP in 2014, before signing with Roadrunner Records and issuing follow-up The Callous Heart the next year. At the end of 2015, Nemati was replaced by Oliver Burdett and touring keyboardist/second vocalist Hannah Greenwood became an official band member. A third EP, The Stranger, was released in 2016 and reached the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart top ten.

Pierce the Veil is an American rock band from San Diego, California, United States. Formed in 2006, the band was founded by brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes after the disbandment of the group Before Today, which was formed out of the San Diego punk rock scene. Other members of the band include Jaime Preciado (bass) and Tony Perry. Pierce the Veil has released four studio albums and has toured worldwide since the release of their debut album, A Flair for the Dramatic in 2007. The band released their second full-length studio album, titled Selfish Machines in 2010. Their third album, Collide with the Sky, was released in 2012, and is their first album under the Fearless Records label. While She Sleeps are a British metalcore band from Sheffield. Formed in 2006, the group consists of vocalist Lawrence Taylor, guitarists Sean Long and Mat Welsh, bassist Aaran McKenzie and drummer Adam Savage. They are currently signed to their own label Sleeps Brothers in the UK and in collaboration with Spinefarm Records in the US and UNFD in Australia. They have released three EPs, And This Is Just the Start, Split and The North Stands for Nothing, and five studio albums, This Is the Six, Brainwashed, You Are We, So What? and Sleeps Society. They received the Best British Newcomer award at the Kerrang! Awards 2012. The group has maintained the same line-up since its formation, with vocalist Taylor being the only bandmate who is not an original member. Despite this, he has still appeared on every release apart from the group's first two EPs.

The album contains four tracks that were originally featured on both of the band's previous EPs along with 12 original songs, making a total of 16 songs. The album is the first of the band's efforts to chart, peaking at 18 on the Top Hard Rock Albums and eight on the Top Heatseekers, making this their most successful release to date.
