This One's Different is the first EP released by Minneapolis indie rock band Howler. It was released August 1, 2011, [1] available as a limited 12" vinyl or download. The first 50 copies that were ordered from Rough Trade came with a free signed photo.

The EP received positive reviews from NME, Drowned In Sound and the BBC. Told You Once was also listed as the 9th best track of 2011 by NME.
There is an official video for main track (but not single) "I Told You Once" up on YouTube (but not uploaded under Howler's official account) that shows lead singer Jordan Gatesmith singing into a microphone in a dance studio, backed by singing dancers in leotards. The scene then cuts to Jordan just singing with two female dancers. Then it shows Jordan and guitarist, Ian Nygaard playing with knives in one of the band member's bedroom. The scenes goes back to the dancers until 1:50 when the guitar solo comes in. At this point, it shows Ian Nygaard playing his guitar into what looks like a web-cam. It then shows him lying in bed, tuning his guitar. The scene goes to and from Ian and the dancers. Then the video shows Ian playing with knives in his fingers. The camera cuts back to Jordan singing and then fades out. It was directed by So-TM and clocks at 2:53.
Howler's debut LP 'America Give Up' contains three tracks that were re-recorded off 'This One's Different'. In an NME article about Howler's Minnesota Turf Club gig, it says: "It's rumoured Gatesmith considered leaving the song (I Told You Once) off their forthcoming LP, but on evidence of this grudging rendition, it sounds like he's decided to make "..Once" exhibit A for Howler's rapid evolution".

The style of recording and production was noticeably "beefed up" (according to NME articles) for these re-recorded tracks.
The lyrics of the songs stayed the same when they were re-recorded for "America Give Up" apart from a line from "You Like White Women, I Like Cigarettes", (the lyrics were changed as well as the name) : "Now there’s one thing that is true, you’re a bitch and I hate you" was changed to "Now there's one thing that is true, I need someone to play but I don't know who".
Slowdive are a British rock band that formed in Reading, Berkshire, in 1989. The band consists of Rachel Goswell on vocals and guitar, Neil Halstead on vocals and guitar, Christian Savill on guitar, Nick Chaplin on bass guitar and Simon Scott on drums, all of whom have played on the band's debut studio album Just for a Day (1991). Halstead is the band's primary songwriter.
Dubnobasswithmyheadman is the third studio album by British electronic music group Underworld, released in the United Kingdom on Junior Boy's Own on 24 January 1994. Crest of a Knave is the sixteenth studio album by British rock band Jethro Tull, released in 1987. The album was recorded after a three-year hiatus caused by a throat infection of vocalist Ian Anderson, resulting in his changed singing style. Following the unsuccessful electronic rock album Under Wraps, Crest of a Knave had the band returning to a more hard rock sound. The album was their most successful since the 1970s and the band enjoyed a resurgence on radio broadcasts, appearances in MTV specials and the airing of music videos. "Knives Out" is a song by the English rock band Radiohead, released as the second single from their fifth album, Amnesiac (2001). It features lyrics about cannibalism and guitars influenced by the Smiths. "Knives Out" received positive reviews and reached number 13 on the UK Singles Chart and number one on the Canadian Singles Chart. The music video was directed by Michel Gondry.
Hard-Fi are an English indie rock band, formed in 2003 in Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey. The band's most recent lineup before going on hiatus consisted of Richard Archer, Kai Stephens and Steve Kemp. Founding member Ross Phillips left the band on 6 May 2013 but returned in 2014 to promote the release of their greatest hits album, Best of 2004 – 2014, and the one-off gig on 13 February 2014.

Wonderland is the seventh album by British rock band the Charlatans, released on 10 September 2001 through Universal. Following promotional efforts for their sixth studio album Us and Us Only, vocalist Tim Burgess and guitarist Mark Collins wrote new material at the former's house in Los Angeles, California. Cocaine would be an impact on the writing, and later on recording; sessions were held at producer Danny Saber's house studio, Krevorkian's Lab, also in Los Angeles. The band worked with him for seven weeks from October 2000, only completing five tracks, and later went to their own studio, Big Mushroom in Cheshire, Greater Manchester, in early 2001. Wonderland is a funk-soul and electronica record, evoking the work John Mellencamp, Oasis and Primal Scream. Burgess remarked that Los Angeles itself became a member of the band; critics referred to it as a drug-enhanced party album. He employed a falsetto in the vein of Curtis Mayfield and Kurt Wagner.
The Long Blondes were an English indie rock band formed in Sheffield in 2003 by Dorian Cox, Reenie Hollis, Emma Chaplin, Kate Jackson and Screech Louder.
"What Do I Have to Do" is a song performed by Australian singer-songwriter Kylie Minogue from her third studio album, Rhythm of Love (1990). The song was written and produced by Stock, Aitken & Waterman. Originally, the song was planned to be released after the single "Better the Devil You Know", but instead "Step Back in Time" was released and this was released as the third single on 21 January 1991. The song received positive reviews from most music critics, who thought the song was an instant rave classic.
¡Forward, Russia! are an English rock band from Leeds, active from between 2004 and 2008, before reforming in 2013. The band's debut album, Give Me a Wall, was released in 2006. Until 2006, the band only named tracks with numbers, in the order that they were written. The band had used Faux Cyrillic, with its name occasionally typeset as ¡FФЯWДЯD, RUSSIД!. The band went on hiatus after the release of their second album, Life Processes, in 2008. They reformed in 2013 for a show at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds in November 2013 for its 100th anniversary, and then played the Live at Leeds Festival at Leeds Town Hall in 2014.
Fatherfucker is the third studio album by Canadian singer Peaches, released on September 23, 2003 by XL Recordings. Cover versions of Electric Six's "Gay Bar" and Berlin's "Sex " are included as bonus tracks.
Los Campesinos! are a seven-piece indie pop band from Cardiff, Wales, formed in early 2006 at Cardiff University. The band has endured several lineup changes with Gareth Paisey, Neil Turner (guitar) and Tom Bromley (guitar) being the only original members remaining. Rob Taylor (guitar), Kim Paisey, Matt Fidler and Jason Adelinia (drums) are also currently rostered. All replace their surnames with "Campesinos!" as stage names.
Crystal Castles is the debut studio album by Canadian electronic music duo Crystal Castles; at the time of its release, the group consisted of producer Ethan Kath and singer Alice Glass. The two met each other in 2004 and both had an interest in noise acts like AIDS Wolf & The Sick Lipstick. This inspired the two to start a project that made noise music, but instead of guitars, they would use electronic sounds made with a circuit-bent Atari 5200–which effectively led to the media pigeonholing the act as chiptune, despite the fact that the members themselves didn't deliberately intend this.
Intimacy is the third studio album by English indie rock band Bloc Party. It was recorded in two weeks at several locations in London and Kent during 2008 and was produced by Jacknife Lee and Paul Epworth. The band members made the album available for purchase on their website as a digital download on 21 August 2008. Minimal promotion was undertaken in the UK. The record was released in compact disc form on 24 October 2008, with Wichita Recordings as the primary label. It peaked at number 8 on the UK Albums Chart and entered the Billboard 200 in the United States at number 18.
Everything Everything are an English art rock band from Manchester that formed in late 2007. Noted for their eclectic sound and complex, sociopolitical lyrics, the band have released six albums to date – 2010's Man Alive, 2013's Arc, 2015's Get to Heaven, 2017's A Fever Dream, 2020's Re-Animator and 2022's Raw Data Feel – and have been widely critically acclaimed. Their work has twice been shortlisted for the Mercury Music Prize and has received five nominations for Ivor Novello Awards.

World of Joy is the second and final studio album released by the American indie rock band Howler on March 24, 2014, through Rough Trade.
"Love Me" is a song by English band the 1975 from their second studio album, I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It (2016). The song was written by Matty Healy, George Daniel, Adam Hann and Ross MacDonald. Mike Crossey handled the production alongside Daniel and Healy. It was released on 8 October 2015 by Dirty Hit and Polydor Records as the lead single from the album. Written two years before its release, the song was inspired by the band's adjustment to their newfound celebrity status, having found themselves in a scene where fame was prized as currency. The track's production was inspired by the music of the 1980s, specifically the work of Trevor Horn, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Oingo Boingo.
