Rating the album seven out of ten for Cross Rhythms, Peter John Willoughby writes, "they have cultivated their sound, blending progressive metal, straight hardcore, and elements of death metal ... The guitar work is much more technical than I have come to expect from most hardcore/metalcore bands." [2] Scott Fryberger, awarding the album four stars from Jesus Freak Hideout, states, "Onward To Olympas have an album on their hands that is definitely one of the best on all of Facedown." [4] Giving the album four stars at Indie Vision Music, Michael Mayer III says, "Onward to Olympas have released one of the better albums in the genre in recent memory." [3] Eric Burnet, awarding the album four and a half stars by The New Review, describes, "Wow, I did not expect to be praising this album so highly." [5] Ronak Ghorbani, writing a review for Exclaim! , says, "Onward to Olympas deliver a solid first release with The World Is Not My Home." [6]

Onward to Olympas was an American metalcore band from Salisbury, North Carolina. The band started making music in 2005, and disbanded in 2013. Their membership was vocalists, Chris Davis and Kramer Lowe, guitarists and vocalist, Andy Simmons, Justin Gage, and Kyle Phillips, drummer and vocalist, Mark Hudson, guitarist, Andrew Higginbotham, bass guitarist, Justin Allman, and drummers, Matt Burnside, Nick Helvey. The band released one independently made album, The End of the Beginning, in 2007, and their lone extended play, Victory at All Costs, in 2008. Their first studio album, This World Is Not My Home, was released by Facedown Records, in 2010. The subsequent studio album, The War within Us, was released by Facedown Records, in 2011. They released, Indicator, with Facedown Records, in 2012, and this was their third and final studio album.

Rival Choir, formerly known as Mouth of the South, was an American Christian post-hardcore and metalcore band from Denton, Texas formed in 2007. The band signed with Facedown Records in January 2014. Struggle Well was the band's last album under the name Mouth of the South. After announcing their change from Mouth of the South to Rival Choir, their new album—I Believe, Help My Unbelief—was released on February 5, 2016, also by Facedown Records. On November 18, the band released the debut single from the new album, entitled "Aftermath".
