Thomas Stuart Green [1] (born 5 November 1985), known professionally as Thom Sonny Green, is an English drummer and electronic music producer.
Green attended Leeds University, where he met the musicians with whom he would found the band Alt-J in 2007. The band released its debut album, An Awesome Wave , in 2012, followed by This Is All Yours in 2014. In 2016, Green released a solo album of electronic music entitled High Anxiety . [2] [3] The album was recorded over a span of several years while on tour with Alt-J, and reflects Green's medical problems with anxiety and major hearing loss due to Alport syndrome. [4] [5]
Green plays without any type of cymbals, instead replacing the usual hi-hat with a muted cowbell, and the cymbals for a tambourine. He has however added a small Chopper cymbal for the song "Pleader" used on tours after the release of Relaxer . He also uses a small 10-inch snare as his main piece for a more electronic sound. As of 2022, he has added a hi-hat to his kit which he uses in several songs from The Dream .
A drum kit is a collection of drums, cymbals, and sometimes other auxiliary percussion instruments set up to be played by one person. The drummer typically holds a pair of matching drumsticks, and uses their feet to operate hi-hat and bass drum pedals.

He has toured with his own bands since 2001, including Palmer, the Carl Palmer Band, and currently, Carl Palmer's ELP Legacy. He previously was a touring drummer for The Crazy World of Arthur Brown and a founding member of Atomic Rooster.
Joshua Ryan Freese is an American drummer. A member of punk rock band the Vandals since 1989, Freese has also been a member of new wave band Devo since 1996 and rock band Foo Fighters since 2023.
Electronic drums are a modern electronic musical instrument, primarily designed to serve as an alternative to an acoustic drum kit. Electronic drums consist of an electronic sound module which produces the synthesized or sampled percussion sounds and a set of pads, usually constructed in a shape to resemble drums and cymbals, which are equipped with electronic sensors to send an electronic signal to the sound module which outputs a sound. Like acoustic drums, the pads are struck by drum sticks and they are played in a similar manner to an acoustic drum kit, albeit with some differences in the drumming experience.
Richard David Hughes is an English musician, best known as the drummer of the alternative rock band Keane.
Joseph William Castillo is an American musician. He is best known for being the drummer of the hard rock band Queens of the Stone Age from 2002 to 2012.
