High Anxiety is the debut solo album by British musician Thom Sonny Green. It was composed and recorded by Green from 2014 to 2016, while he was touring with alt-J, and was released on 19 August 2016 by Infectious and Sudden Records. The album received mixed reviews by critics.
Green started producing in 2012, using his laptop. [2] He composed and recorded the album over the course of two years while touring with alt-J, [3] in hotel rooms. [4] In the process, he used Ableton Live [2] and a short music gear, including Bass Station II and OP-1 synthesisers, a H2n recorder, and a Game Boy. [5]
High Anxiety is an electronica, [6] ambient [7] and experimental [8] album. Green cited Clams Casino, Arca, Deftones and Radiohead as influences on the record. [3] The title of the album refers to Green's "general anxiety". [9]

High Anxiety received mixed reviews by music critics, many of whom found the album overlong. [1] [12] At Metacritic, which assigns a normalised rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream publications, it received an average score of 57, based on 7 reviews. [11]

Radiohead are an English rock band formed in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, in 1985. They comprise Thom Yorke ; brothers Jonny Greenwood and Colin Greenwood (bass); Ed O'Brien ; and Philip Selway. Wolfmother is an Australian hard rock band from Sydney. Formed in 2004, the group is centred around vocalist and guitarist Andrew Stockdale, who is the only constant member of the line-up. The band has been through many personnel changes since their formation. The original – and most commercially successful – line-up included bassist and keyboardist Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett. Ross and Heskett left Wolfmother after four years in 2008.

Since their two albums, drummer Thom Sonny Green released a debut solo effort, High Anxiety, made over the years of touring and recorded in hotel rooms.
