Thomas G. Power (born October 21,1950) is a judge and a former member of the Michigan House of Representatives. [1]
A graduate of Carleton College with a degree in economics,Power attended the University of Michigan Law School before earning a master's degree from the New York University School of Law. He then was an attorney in private practice and served on the Traverse City school board before his election to the House in 1982. [2]
Power served in the House for 10 years before being elected to the circuit court bench in 1992. He has been re-elected three times since then. Power has also served on the Grand Traverse-Leelanau Community Mental Health Board,and is a pilot for the U.S. Coast Guard Air Auxiliary. [3]
Robert Paul Griffin was an American politician from the U.S. state of Michigan. A member of the Republican Party,he served in both chambers of the United States Congress as a member of the United States House of Representatives from 1957 to 1966 and a member of the United States Senate from 1966 to 1979 and later served a Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court from 1987 to 1995. He co-sponsored the Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959,which regulates the internal affairs of labor unions. As a deputy minority leader in the Senate,he called on President Richard Nixon,a fellow Republican,to resign during the Watergate scandal.
Damon Jerome Keith was a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and a former United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Keith died in office at age 96.
