Thomas H. Mancino is an American officer who has served as the 22nd Adjutant General of Oklahoma since November 2021.
Thomas H. Mancino served six years in the Oklahoma National Guard before becoming a commissioned officer in 1992. He had three combat deployments in Afghanistan during the War in Afghanistan. In September 2019,he was promoted to Assistant Adjutant General of Oklahoma. On November 10,2021,Governor Kevin Stitt appointed him Adjutant General of Oklahoma. [1] The New York Times reported Mancino quickly released a memo rescinding a COVID-19 vaccine requirement for members of the Oklahoma National Guard,potentially in violation of an order from United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin. [2]
The California National Guard is part of the National Guard of the United States,a dual federal-state military reserve force. The Oklahoma National Guard,a division of the Oklahoma Military Department,is the component of the United States National Guard in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. It comprises both Army (OKARNG) and Air (OKANG) National Guard components. The Governor of Oklahoma is Commander-in-Chief of the Oklahoma National Guard when not on federal active duty. The state's highest-ranking military commander,the Adjutant General of Oklahoma (TAG),serves as the military head of the Guard and is second only to the Governor. The TAG is served by Assistant Adjutants General,all brigadier generals,from the OKARNG and OKANG. The two components each have a senior noncommissioned officer,State Command Sergeant Major for Army and State Command Chief Master Sergeant for Air. The TAG is also served by his Director of the Joint Staff or Chief of Staff,who has direct oversight of the state's full-time National Guard military personnel and civilian employees.
The Vermont National Guard is composed of the Vermont Army National Guard and the Vermont Air National Guard. Together,they are collectively known as the Green Mountain Boys. Both units use the original Revolutionary War-era Flag of the Green Mountain Boys as their banner. In 2009,they had 2,600 members.

Myles Lynn Deering is a retired Army National Guard major general who served as the 19th adjutant general of Oklahoma. General Deering was appointed by Governor of Oklahoma Brad Henry in 2009 following the promotion of Harry M. Wyatt III to the position of director,Air National Guard. On December 10,2010,Governor-elect Mary Fallin announced that she would retain General Deering in his position as adjutant general.
Michael C. Thompson is a retired United States General Officer and Oklahoma Army National Guard member who served as the 21st Adjutant General of Oklahoma from 2017 to 2021. He was a Major General in the United States Army National Guard and was a member of the Oklahoma Governor's Cabinet.

Timothy James Kadavy is a retired United States Army lieutenant general,who served as the 20th director of the Army National Guard from March 27,2015,to March 25,2019. He previously served as the special assistant to the vice chief of the National Guard Bureau,the adjutant general of the Nebraska National Guard,deputy director of the Army National Guard,and as the commander of Combined Joint Inter Agency Task Force-Afghanistan,which was part of the NATO International Security Assistance Force mission in that country. Kadavy was nominated by the President to become the Vice Chief of the National Guard Bureau with the rank of lieutenant general,on March 5,2019. The Senate returned his nomination to the president without action on January 3,2020. After leaving his assignment as the director of the Army National Guard,he served as a two-star special assistant to the chief of the National Guard Bureau from May 23,2019,until his retirement on August 3,2020. He retired from the Army with the rank of lieutenant general after over 36 years of service.

Since 2018,he has served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense. He is responsible for both the integration of reserve affairs across the United States Department of Defense and strategic engagement on all Reserve Component matters.

In his final assignment,he served beginning in January 2018 as Director of Domestic Operations and Force Development at the National Guard Bureau. His previous assignments include Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for National Guard Matters,Deputy Director for Domestic Operations (J-3) at United States Northern Command,Assistant Adjutant General of the Oklahoma National Guard,and acting Deputy Director of the Army National Guard.

Stitt was reelected to a second term in 2022,defeating Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister,a Republican turned Democrat,with 55.4% of the vote. A member of the Cherokee Nation,Stitt is the second Native American governor after former Oklahoma governor Johnston Murray.
