Thomas Karaoglan (born 20 March 1993 in Duisburg) also known as Der Checker is a German singer from the label Ariola. [1]
Karaoglan is of Armenian descent.
He became popular from participating in the German casting show Deutschland sucht den Superstar, where he reached fifth place.
In July 2010, Karaoglan published his first single Checker, der Vollstrecker. 2011 Karaoglan published his second single called Diskoking. In addition to this, Karaoglan and his dance partner Sarah Latton took part at the German Dance-Show Let's Dance where they reached 3rd place. [2] Karaoglan stated that he "make crap music" [2] and started to design jewelry with Harald Glööckler. [2] Karaoglan has been charged with two counts of sexually abusing a 12-year-old child in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia. [3] Karaoglan pleaded not guilty to the charges and the court case starts on 7 March 2013. [3]

Modern Talking was a German pop music duo consisting of arranger, songwriter and producer Dieter Bohlen and singer Thomas Anders. They have been referred to as Germany's most successful pop duo, and have had a number of hit singles, reaching the top five in many countries. Their most popular singles are "You're My Heart, You're My Soul", "You Can Win If You Want", "Cheri, Cheri Lady", "Brother Louie", "Atlantis Is Calling " and "Geronimo's Cadillac".
Dieter Günter Bohlen is a German songwriter, producer, singer, and television personality. Often referred to as the "Pop-Titan" in the German-speaking press, he first achieved fame as a member of pop duo Modern Talking in the 1980s, and has since produced numerous German and international artists. He is also a judge on casting shows Deutschland sucht den Superstar and Das Supertalent, having been present on all seasons of both shows.
Daniel Dominik Kaiser-Küblböck was a German pop singer. He placed third in television talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar in 2003. In September 2018, he went missing at sea off Canada while travelling on a cruise ship. He was declared dead on 10 March 2021. Shortly before the disappearance, Kaiser-Küblböck came out as transsexual and introduced herself as Lana Kaiser.

Andrea Ferber, known professionally as Andrea Berg, is a German Schlager singer. She performed at carnivals as a child and began her career in 1992 after being discovered by record producer Eugen Römer. Jury members Fernanda Brandão and Patrick Nuo left DSDS and were replaced by Bruce Darnell and Cascada's Natalie Horler. As the winner, Luca Hänni received a recording contract with Universal Music Group and €500,000. Participants must be between the ages of 16 and 30 and living in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The auditions stage had 34 audition events in 33 cities across Germany, Austria or Switzerland. 35,401 participants auditioned for season 9. Marco Schreyl will not be returning to host season 10.

Luca Hänni is a Swiss singer, songwriter, dancer, model and television personality. He rose to fame in 2012 after winning the ninth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar, the German version of the Idol franchise. He was the first non-German to do so and also the youngest ever winner of the show. Hänni's debut single, "Don't Think About Me", topped the singles charts in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. It was followed by the release of his debut album, My Name Is Luca (2012), which debuted atop the Austrian and Swiss Albums Charts and became a gold-seller in both countries. His second studio album, Living the Dream, released in 2013, became his second consecutive number-one album in Switzerland.

Participants had to be between 16 and 30 years old and could audition in 30 cities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Bill and Tom Kaulitz from Tokio Hotel and Mateo from Culcha Candela became judges. Bruce Darnell and Natalie Horler both left after the completion of season 9. There was a trip to Curaçao during the recall. This is the first season in which three women reached the final four and the second season with a female final 2. After nine years, the show produced a female winner, since Elli Erl in season 2. Beatrice Egli won the show as the second female winner.
