Thorleifs was a Swedish dansband, [1] formed in 1962 in Norrhult, Kronoberg County, Sweden and led by Thorleif Torstensson. The band that sings in Swedish and many other languages, also released albums in German. It also took part in Melodifestivalen 2009 with the song "Sweet Kissin' in the Moonlight" but did not proceed into the finals.

Dansband, or danseband in Norwegian and Danish, is a Swedish term for a band that plays dansbandsmusik. Dansbandsmusik is often danced to in pairs. Jitterbug and foxtrot music are often included in this category. The music is primarily inspired by swing, schlager, country, jazz, and rock. The main influence for rock-oriented bands is the rock music of the 1950s and 1960s.

Äntligen På Väg was the seventh album from Swedish singer/songwriter Ted Gärdestad, issued on the Polar Music label in 1994, his first full-length release since 1981's Stormvarning. Äntligen På Väg which was produced by his longtime friend Janne Schaffer and Leif Larsson and included the comeback hits "Ge En Sol", "Hon Är Kvinnan", "I Min Radio" and "Om Du Ville Ha Mig" also came to be Ted's final album.

Svante Thuresson Swedish jazz and schlager singer

Svante Thuresson is a Swedish jazz musician. He started his career as a drummer before joining the band Gals and Pals in 1963. Svante won the national selection and represented Sweden in the Eurovision song contest in 1966 with "Nygammal vals" and came in second place; he performed with Lill Lindfors.

Anders Engbergs was a dansband in Skara, Sweden, reestablished in 1994 when Lotta & Anders Engbergs orkester split up into two bands, Anders Engbergs and Lotta Engbergs, three years after the divorce of husband Anders Engberg and wife Lotta Engberg. Anders Engbergs had also been the name of the unsplit band prior to Lotta Engberg joining it in 1989. One of the more famous singers in its lineup up to 1988 was Stefan Borsch.

Fernandoz is a Swedish dansband formed in 1986 in Vitsand, near Torsby. They had a big hit in 1991 entitled with the song "Jag vet att jag vill ha dig". The band won the "svenska dansbandsmästare" award in 1993 and they started appearing on the popular television program Bingolotto, for a number of times. Their most recognized hits include "Guld och gröna skogar", "En dag den sommaren", "När ett hjärta har älskat" Band guitarist Conny Ohlson and singer Anders Nordlund have won a Swedish Grammy "Guldklaven" for their work.

Berth Idoffs is a dansband from Bromölla, Sweden, established in 1955.

Grönwalls was a dansband from Hässleholm in Sweden. The band won the Swedish dansband championships in Sunne in August 1992. Famous hit songs include Du ringde från Flen from 1993 and Ett liv tillsammans, written by Calle Kindbom and Peo Pettersson, topping Svensktoppen in 1995, as well as Regn i mitt hjärta from 1996.

Highlights is a dansband from Sweden, established in 2004 by Andreas Wistrand, who had participated at Fame Factory, together with Henrik Sethsson.

Leif Bloms was a dansband in Växjö in Sweden. scoring chart successes at the Swedish album chart during the mid-late 1970's. On 31 December 1995 the band was disbanded after singing and playing together for almost 40 years. Starting with the 1981 album Håll dig kvar, the band's singer was Mona Gustafsson, who wrote the band's 1992 song Dej ska jag älska all min tid which won the 1992 Hänt song contest in Älvsjö. After the band was disbanded, Mona Gustafsson, Patrik Ahlm and René Saulesco founded another dansband, Mona G:s orkester.

Helene & gänget was a dansband in Kristianstad in Sweden, founded 1990 by members of the Färmarna dansband. The band broke through in 1995 with the album Segla din båt i hamn. The band broke up in 2002 and its singer Helene Persson begun acting as SR Kristianstad programme host. Famous songs recorded by the band are Segla din båt i hamn, En korg med blommor and Nånstans så finns du.

Minnenas allé is a studio album by Fernandoz, released on 19 January 2005.

Tack & farväl was released on 14 November 2012 and is a Thorleifs double compilation album in connection to the band disestablishment the same year. The opening track, Déjà vu, was new-written by Thomas G:son.

Våra bästa år is a 2007 Thorleifs double compilation album. Seven of the songs were new back then. Outside Sweden, special versions of the album were released in Denmark, Finland and Norway. On the album charts, it peaked at 24th position in Denmark, and 7th position in Sweden.

"Vid en liten fiskehamn" is a song written by Jan Christer Ericsson in Lasse Stefanz, and originally thought to become a hit song with the own band. Lasse Stefanz recorded the song on the 1979 album Darlin', and it also appeared on the band's 1992 album På begäran.
