Allting som ni gör kan jag göra bättre is the eighth studio album by Swedish pop and rock artist Magnus Uggla. It was released in 1987. The album consists only of cover songs. The title is a reference to both the fact that the entire album is cover songs, "you" being the original artists, and also a call-back to the musical Annie Get Your Gun. Most of the songs are famous recordings from the progg era.

"Jul, jul, strålande jul" is a Christmas song with lyrics written by Edvard Evers and music composed by Gustaf Nordqvist. It was published in 1921.

"Gråt inga tårar" is a song written by Åke Hallgren in the dansband Pippis from Hede, and recorded and a released a single by several dansbands in 1974, including Pippis, Dannys and Thorleifs. Pippis also recorded the song on the 1975 album Ordning på torpet.

"När det lider mot jul", also known as "Det strålar en stjärna", is a Swedish Christmas song with lyrics by Jeanna Oterdahl, and written for vocals and piano in 1909 by Ruben Liljefors. A version for mixed choir, a cappella, was added in 1933 and originally published in 1944 by Gehrmans musikförlag. The song’s later popularity is said to have been affected by publication in Gottfrid Berg’s Läroverkskören 1950 and after being recorded on record, it was heard in TV in the early 1960s.

"Jag vill ha en egen måne" is a song written by Swedish lyricist Kenneth Gärdestad and singer-songwriter Ted Gärdestad. Ted Gärdestad recorded the song, and released it as a single in April 1972. The song became his breakthrough, charting at Svensktoppen, where it stayed for 14 weeks between 11 June and 10 September 1972, topping the charts. All ABBA members appeared in the studio during the recording; Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Agneta Fältskog appear as background singers.

"Ska vi gå hem till dig" is a song written and recorded by Lasse Tennander on his 1974 studio album Lars Vegas.

"Julen är här" is a Christmas song written by Billy Butt and Sölve Rydell, and intended to be sung as a duet. A famous recording was done by Tommy Körberg with Sissel Kyrkjebø on the 1989 Tommy Körberg Christmas album Julen är här. This version charted at Svensktoppen for four weeks over Christmas-New Year 1989–1990.

Tack & farväl was released on 14 November 2012 and is a Thorleifs double compilation album in connection to the band disestablishment the same year. The opening track, Déjà vu, was new-written by Thomas G:son. That song was originally written for Melodifestivalen 2008., where Thorleifs were originally intended to participate.

Platina Records was a Swedish independent record label founded in 1964 by businessman and songwriter Evert Jakobsson. The label saw great success throughout the mid-1960s with rock acts such as Tages, before turning to dansband music in the 1970s, gaining success with Flamingokvintetten and Thorleifs. After turning to pay to play in 1984, the label shut down in 1989.
