AFL Sydney is an Australian rules football League, based in metropolitan Sydney, Australia which has been run since 1903. In 1980 was known as the "Sydney Football League" and renamed the "Sydney AFL" in 1998 before adopting its current name in 2009. It comprises 118 teams from 22 clubs which play across seven senior men's divisions, five women's divisions, a Master's Division and two under 19 men's competitions in season 2023.

As a subdivision of the National Premier Leagues, the league sits at Level 1 on the Northern New South Wales league system. The competition is administered by Northern NSW Football, the governing body of the sport in the northern region of the state. Prior to 2014, the league was formerly known as the Northern NSW State Football League.

Adamstown Rosebud Football Club is a semi-professional soccer club based in Adamstown a suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales. The club is part of Northern NSW Football and has teams competing in Senior and Youth NPL competitions. The club had played in the National Soccer League between 1984 and 1986 as Newcastle Rosebud United. Adamstown Rosebud is arguably the most famous football club in Newcastle and in 2019, the club entered its 130th year of competition, making the Rosebuds the oldest NPL club in Australia. To mark the occasion, the club wore a special commemorative strip that year, honouring its 130-year history and the Australian representatives the club has produced.

The defunct Northern New South Wales Zone Football League Three, or simply Zone League Three, was an Australian soccer league in the North of New South Wales. It was the sixth and bottom tier of football in the Northern New South Wales Football 6-tier system behind the NPL Northern NSW, Northern NSW State League Division 1, Zone Premier League, Zone League One and Zone League Two until is dissolution in 2023 due to a restructure to the Zone Football Leagues. Pre-2013 this League was known as Northern New South Wales Interdistrict Division Four.
The 2011 Waratah Cup was the 9th season of Football NSW's knockout cup competition under the Waratah Cup name. 33 different Associations registered teams into the tournament, including Canberra City FC from the ACT, Wagga Wagga from the Riverina, and three clubs from the Illawarra Region. Entry levels are staggered, with State League Two clubs entering in Round 1, Super League and State League One clubs entering in Round 2, while all NSW Premier League clubs joined in Round 3.

The 2015 Northern NSW Football season was the second season under the new competition format in northern New South Wales. The competition consisted of six divisions across the district. The overall premier for the new structure qualified for the National Premier Leagues finals series, competing with the other state federation champions in a final knockout tournament to decide the National Premier Leagues Champion for 2015.

The 2015 NNSW FFA Cup qualifying rounds and finals series was a knockout competition run in Northern New South Wales, by Northern NSW Football, used to determine the two Northern NSW entrants to the national 2015 FFA Cup. For the Preliminary rounds, Football Far North Coast kicked off the overall competition with matches on 13 February.
The 2016 FFA Cup preliminary rounds were the qualifying competition in Australia to decide 21 of the 32 teams which took part in the 2016 FFA Cup Round of 32, along with the 10 A-League clubs and reigning National Premier Leagues champion. The preliminary rounds operated within a consistent national structure whereby club entry into the competition was staggered in each state/territory, with the winning clubs from Round 7 of the preliminary rounds in each member federation gaining entry into the Round of 32. All Australian clubs were eligible to enter the qualifying process through their respective FFA member federation, however only one team per club was permitted entry in the competition.
The National Premier Leagues WA Women, also known as the NPL WA Women, is a soccer competition in Western Australia. The competition is conducted by Football West, the organising body in Western Australia. The league is a subdivision of the second tier National Premier Leagues Women's structure, which sits below the national A-League Women, it is the highest tier of local women's competition in Western Australia. The league was founded in 2020 in Western Australia, several years behind equivalent leagues in other states.
