Three roommates, Madhukumar, Benny Kurien, and Surendran have optimistic dreams. Surendran fantasizes about becoming a movie star like Rajinikanth. Madhukumar, who aspires to be a police officer, in turn wants to marry his lover Shubha. Shubha is the daughter of K. R. G. Menon. Benny Kurien is a con artist who needs to support his family. The trio confronts a bad guy named Thomas who kidnaps Shubha and Benny's girlfriend. With the help of a former police officer, Rajesh, the three men fight back.

Ivar is a 2003 Indian Malayalam-language action crime thriller film written and directed by T. K. Rajeev Kumar and produced by Santhosh Damodharan under the banner Damor Cinema. The film is loosely based on the Hong Kong crime thriller Infernal Affairs. Jayaram plays the protagonist and Biju Menon is the antagonist. The film also stars Bhavana, Siddique, Janardhanan and Rizabawa. The film was mostly shot in Steadicam by the cinematographer of the film Madhu Neelakandan, and was edited by Arun Kumar Aravind.
Kadhavaseshan is a 2004 Malayalam mystery drama film written and directed by T. V. Chandran, starring Dileep and Jyothirmayi in the lead roles. Veteran Bengali actress Gita Dey made a special appearance. It was the first movie in the 2002 Gujarat Riots trilogy by the director, the second one being Vilapangalkkappuram and the third and final one being Bhoomiyude Avakashikal.
