Thunder Island is the second studio album by American musician Jay Ferguson. [2] The title track became a top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Contents

The album was first issued on compact disc by the Collector's Choice label. The album was reissued as part of a two disc set including Ferguson's first and third solo albums by Edsel. The booklet included a new interview with Ferguson discussing the making of his first three albums.

Producer Bill Szymczyk recruited much of the same personnel as Ferguson's first solo album including Joe Walsh to play on the album which was recorded in the same Miami studio as the Eagles' Hotel California and other big albums of the era.

Jo Jo Gunne was an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, United States, in 1971 by Jay Ferguson and Mark Andes after they had left the rock band Spirit. The band was named after the Chuck Berry song "Jo Jo Gunne". The band released their eponymous debut album in 1972 and had a top 10 hit song "Run Run Run" in the UK. They released three further albums before disbanding in 1974. They reunited in 2005 for a time to record a fifth album Big Chain.

He re-emerged in the late 2000s, taking on select projects including the 2007 Eagles album Long Road Out of Eden and the 2008 eponymous debut of Brian Vander Ark.
