Tillamook High School is a four-year public high school located in Tillamook, Oregon, United States, as part of the Tillamook School District. The school has served the area for over 100 years. [3] Its mascot is the Cheesemaker and its colors are red, black, and white.
Tillamook High School was established sometime prior to 1912. The 1915 yearbook indicates alumni as far back as 1904. [4] A new high school had been built for students in 1912. [5] Students attended this school until the 1951–1952 school year, when they moved to the current location. [6] [7]
In 2008, 77% of the school's seniors received their high school diploma. Of 173 students, 133 graduated, 17 dropped out, 4 received a modified diploma, and 19 were still in high school the next year. [8] [9]
The school's teams are known as the "Cheesemakers" after the local Tillamook Cheese Factory.
In 2007, Tillamook High School received a new turf football/soccer/track field. [10]
Glencoe High School is a public secondary school in Hillsboro, Oregon that is part of the Hillsboro School District. It was founded in 1980 to relieve overcrowding at Hillsboro High School caused by the city's rapid expansion. Glencoe High is the second oldest of the four high schools in the city. Glencoe is classified as a 6A school for activities and sports. It takes its name from the former community of Glencoe. In 2003, the school, along with all schools in the district, made national news when 17 days of classes were cut from the school year due to budget cuts to education in Oregon. IN 2016, the graduation rate was 86%.

Juneta was a passenger ferry that operated on the Nehalem River on the north coast of Oregon from 1910 to the mid-1920s. Thereafter this vessel was transferred to the Columbia River where it was operated out of Astoria as a cannery tender until the 1960s. Juneta was then converted to a tugboat, and operated commercially on the Columbia and Willamette rivers until 1976. Juneta is still in existence and afloat as a private yacht in the vicinity of Portland, Oregon.
