Tim Army (born April 26, 1963) is an American former professional ice hockey player. He currently serves as an assistant coach for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League. Army was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 9th round (171st overall) of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft.
Army played four seasons at Providence College with the Providence Friars, where during the 1984–85 season he was rewarded for his outstanding play when he was named to the NCAA (East) First All-American Team and was selected as a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award. [1]
He was inducted into the Rhode Island Hockey Hall of Fame in 2020.
Army played just two professional seasons before retiring due to injury. He returned to the Friars in serving as an assistant coach from 1988 to 1993, before accepting an NHL assistant coaching role with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim from 1993 to 1997. After five seasons with the Washington Capitals as an assistant, Army secured his first head coach role with the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2002.
In 2005, Army left the Pirates to take up the head coaching role with Providence College. Army directed the Friars program for six seasons before he returned to the NHL with the Colorado Avalanche as a video coach for the 2011–12 season. He was elevated to an assistant coach for the following season under Joe Sacco. He continued in an assistant coach role over the next five seasons under Sacco, Patrick Roy and Jared Bednar before his release from the club following the 2016–17 season. [2]
Army then became an assistant coach for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2017–18 season. [3] After one season, he was hired as the head coach of the Iowa Wild, the AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, for the 2018–19 season. [4]
Army has served as an assistant coach for the United States men's national ice hockey team at the 1994 and 1996 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships, and at the 2004 World Cup of Hockey, and also the 2012 World Cup of Hockey
Army was hired by the Anaheim Ducks for the 2024-25 NHL Season. This is his second stint with the team. First under head coach Greg Cronin.

Steven Reed Konowalchuk is an American former professional ice hockey left winger who played in the NHL with the Washington Capitals and the Colorado Avalanche. Most recently he was the head coach of the WHL's Red Deer Rebels. Konowalchuk is the first player born and raised in Utah to make it to the NHL level.
Ronald Lawrence Wilson is a Canadian-American former professional ice hockey player and head coach. In his coaching career in the National Hockey League (NHL), he has coached the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Washington Capitals, San Jose Sharks and Toronto Maple Leafs. He also was head coach of the United States men's national ice hockey team at the 1998 and 2010 Winter Olympics. Wilson holds dual citizenship of the United States and Canada.
Daniel Brian Bylsma is an American professional ice hockey coach and former player who is the head coach for the Seattle Kraken of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was previously head coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL, as well as an assistant coach for the Detroit Red Wings, and head coach of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Coachella Valley Firebirds of the American Hockey League (AHL). He also was the former head coach of the United States men's national ice hockey team. Bylsma won the Stanley Cup with the Penguins in 2009, just four months after being promoted to Pittsburgh's head coaching position.
Brian P. Burke is an American-Canadian ice hockey executive, currently the Executive Director of the Professional Women's Hockey League Players Association (PWHLPA). He previously worked in the NHL league office, including as the director of hockey operations, and worked as general manager of the Hartford Whalers, Vancouver Canucks, Anaheim Ducks—with whom he won the Stanley Cup in 2007—and Toronto Maple Leafs, as well as president of hockey operations for the Leafs, Calgary Flames, and Pittsburgh Penguins. Burke was general manager for the silver-medalist United States national team for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. He is a member of Rugby Canada's board of directors. Burke was inducted into the Rhode Island Hockey Hall of Fame in 2019.
Kevin William Dineen is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player. From 2021-2024, Dineen was the head coach of the Utica Comets in the American Hockey League (AHL). Dineen previously served as the head coach for the Florida Panthers and assistant coach of the Chicago Blackhawks. He was born in Quebec City, Quebec.
