Tim Bradbury is a former judge of the King County Superior Court. Bradbury was the first openly gay judge appointed in the state of Washington. [1] [2]
Bradbury received a Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School in 1972. [2]
On September 22,1995,Washington Governor Mike Lowry selected Bradbury to replace retiring judge Arthur Piehler on the King County Superior Court. [3] Bradbury joined the bench on October 10,1995, [3] but less than a month later lost the election to determine who would fill out the remainder of Piehler's term. [4]

Robert French Utter was an American attorney and jurist from Washington. He served as a King County Superior Court judge from 1964 until his appointment to the Washington Court of Appeals in 1968. In 1971 he was appointed to the Washington Supreme Court,where he served for 23 years,including two years as the Chief Justice. Utter is known for his opposition to the death penalty. He dissented in two dozen cases on capital punishment while on the court and resigned in 1995 in protest of it. After resigning from the court,Utter taught the first state constitutional law course in Washington State at the University of Puget Sound School of Law and traveled around the world to help developing nations create independent judiciaries. He died in 2014.

East Redmond,with a population of fewer than 400 people,was found to have not met the state's minimum population requirement for incorporation and was dis-incorporated by a decision of the Washington Supreme Court in 1965.
The 2021 Seattle City Council 3rd district recall election was held on December 7,2021. Kshama Sawant,a member of the Seattle City Council from the 3rd district,defeated an attempt to recall her. This was the first recall election held in Seattle since the one held against Mayor Wesley C. Uhlman in 1975.
The 2021 Seattle City Attorney election was held on November 2,2021. Incumbent City Attorney Pete Holmes sought reelection to a fourth term in office,but came third place in the officially nonpartisan August 3 primary election and failed to advance to the general election,with both Nicole Thomas-Kennedy and Ann Davison finishing ahead of Holmes in the primary. Davison defeated Thomas-Kennedy in the general election.
