Bowling career

Before he became a professional bowler, Mack was considered to be one of the best amateur bowlers in the world. He has won 70 titles in 30 countries on five continents, and is a five-time Amateur Bowler of the Year. In 2002, he won seven international championships, and was named the 2002 World Bowling Writers International Bowler of the Year as well as the BowlingDigital.com Player of the Year. [1] He was a member of Team USA for 2003, winning a gold medal in trios and silver medals in singles, team and all-events during the World Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. [1]

He joined the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) in 2003, making his debut in the Miller High Life Open at Hawthorn Lanes in Vernon Hills, Illinois. On May 31, 2009, he earned his first full-time PBA Tour exemption by finishing 8th at the PBA Tour Trials in Allen Park, Michigan.

Mack was the captain of Team USA in the Weber Cup, a famous USA vs. Europe annual bowling event, for several years. He has also managed the Portland Lumberjacks of the PBA League [2] for multiple seasons, leading them to the Elias Cup team title in 2019, 2020 and 2022. [3]

Mack won the BPAA's Dick Weber Bowling Ambassador Award in 2020 for his longtime work in promoting the sport of bowling. [4] In 2021, he was invited to participate in the PBA's King of the Lanes event, mainly due to his connection to the host location, Bayside Bowl in Portland, Maine. At age 50, this was Mack's first television appearance as a bowler in over ten years. It was mentioned on-air that he has undergone seven knee surgeries since that time. Mack lost his only match to eventual King Jason Sterner, 267–204. [5]

Personal

Tim is married to Brenda (Norman) Mack, who was an exempt bowler in the PBA Women's Series. They currently reside in Indianapolis, Indiana with their daughter. Tim is a member of the Storm Bowling professional staff, and is frequently seen laneside on PBA telecasts coaching Storm-sponsored players. [1] He is also the European Sales Manager for Storm Products, and owns Tim Mack's Victory Lane Pro Shop which has locations at all three Royal Pin bowling centers in the Indianapolis area. [6]

Kelly Kulick is an American professional bowler, bowling coach and sportscaster. She has won ten professional women's bowling titles, one PBA Tour title and a professional mixed doubles title. Kulick is the first woman ever to win a regular Professional Bowlers Association tour title and the only woman to win a major PBA Tour tournament. She is a 16-time member of Team USA. Kulick is currently a pro staff member for Storm Bowling, Vise grips and High 5 gear. In 2019, Kulick was inducted into the USBC Hall of Fame, Superior Performance category.

The PBA Tour is the major professional tour for ten-pin bowling, operated by the Professional Bowlers Association. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, over 3,000 members worldwide make up the PBA. While most of the PBA members are Regional professionals, a small percentage of the bowling membership competes at the national and international level, forming the PBA Tour. Founded in 1958, the PBA Tour has been in continuous operation since the inaugural 1959 season.

Parker Morse Bohn III is a left-handed American professional bowler. He has been a member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) since 1984, and is a member of the PBA and USBC Halls of Fame. Bohn is one of only eight players in PBA history to accumulate at least 30 career PBA Tour titles, currently ranking fifth all-time with 35. He has ten more titles on the PBA50 Tour. He is a two-time PBA Player of the Year and has also won a PBA50 Player of the Year award (2022).

The U.S. Open is one of the five major tournaments in the Professional Bowlers Association. Despite its status as a PBA Tour major, the tournament is open to qualifying amateurs as well as PBA members. The U.S. Open is considered one of the most difficult tournaments to bowl in today, due to its long format and demanding oil pattern, which differs from most oil patterns the PBA employs.

John Petraglia Sr. is an American professional bowler. He is a member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA), where he won 14 PBA Tour titles. He has also won eight PBA Senior Tour titles. He is a member of both the PBA and USBC Halls of Fame.

Mike Aulby is a left-handed bowler and former member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA). He is one of only five PBA bowlers to win both a Rookie and Player of the Year award. He is also the one of two players in history to complete a career "Super Slam", in which a bowler wins all five PBA Tour major tournaments at least once. Aulby owns 29 career PBA Tour titles, currently 9th place all-time. He is a member of both the PBA and USBC Halls of Fame.

Richard A. Ritger was a right-handed ten-pin bowler in the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA), who spent his later years as a bowling instructor and proprietor of Dick Ritger's Bowling Camp. Known for his smooth stroker delivery, he is one of only 17 players in history to have won at least 20 career PBA Tour titles.

Carmen Salvino is an active professional ten-pin bowler, inventor, author, ambassador, and a founding member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA). Known as "PBA's Original Showman", Salvino won 17 PBA Tour titles –- among them the 1962 PBA National Championship where he defeated fellow bowling legend Don Carter in the finals. He also won two PBA Senior Tour titles, including the 1984 Senior National Championship. The right-handed bowler was among the eight original inductees to the PBA Hall of Fame in 1975, and is also a member of the USBC Hall of Fame, the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame, the Illinois Sports Hall of Fame, and the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame.

Wesley Clint "Big Nasty" Malott is an American professional ten-pin bowler and member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA). Originally from Pflugerville, Texas, he now resides in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has won ten PBA Tour titles, and was the 2008–09 Chris Schenkel PBA Player of the Year. He won his lone major championship at the 2012–13 U.S. Open, and has finished runner-up in five other PBA major tournaments. Malott also won the 2006–07 Showplace Lanes Megabucks Shootout, which was not a PBA Tour event. He won the non-title PBA King of Bowling event in 2009, and defended his King position eight consecutive times through 2018.

Kyle Troup is an American professional ten-pin bowler residing in Taylorsville, North Carolina. He uses the two-handed shovel-style delivery with a dominant right hand. Troup says he needed two hands when learning to throw the ball as a young child, calling himself self-taught in that regard.

Tom Daugherty is a right-handed American professional ten-pin bowler residing in Riverview, Florida. He is a member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA), having joined in 2001. He is one of the few PBA bowlers to successfully use the one-handed no-thumb delivery. Although Daugherty has won four PBA Tour titles and 21 PBA Regional titles, he is perhaps best known for rolling a nationally-televised 100 game at the 2011 PBA Tournament of Champions, the lowest score ever bowled in a televised PBA event.

Kristopher "Kris" Prather of Plainfield, Illinois is an American professional ten-pin bowler who competes on the PBA Tour. He is known for winning the inaugural PBA Tour Playoffs on June 2, 2019 and the PBA Tournament of Champions on February 9, 2020. To date, Prather has won five PBA Tour titles, including two major championships.

Harry Monroe Smith, nicknamed "Tiger", was a right-handed American ten-pin bowler and charter member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA). Smith won 12 PBA Tour titles, including two major championships. He is a member of the PBA and USBC Halls of Fame.

Patrick "Packy" Hanrahan is an American left-handed professional ten-pin bowler who joined the Professional Bowlers Association in 2018 after a collegiate career at Wichita State University. Born in Greenwich, Connecticut, he currently resides in Wichita, Kansas.
