Tin Hau is one of the 13 constituencies of the Wan Chai District Council of Hong Kong. The seat elects one member of the council every four years. It was first created in Hong Kong district board elections, 1994. The constituency boundary is loosely based on the Tin Hau and Lai Tak Tsuen with estimated population of 15,051. [3] It was transferred to the Wan Chai District in the District Council election in 2015.

The Eastern District is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. It had a population of 588,094 in 2011. The district has the second highest population while its residents have the third highest median household income among 18 districts.
Causeway Bay is a district of Hong Kong Island, and covering parts of Wan Chai District. The Cantonese name is also romanised as Tung Lo Wan as in Tung Lo Wan Road. The rents in the shopping areas of Causeway Bay were ranked as the world's most expensive for the second year in a row, after overtaking New York City's Fifth Avenue in 2012.
