The Chinese linking rings is a classic of illusion magic in which solid metal rings appear to link and unlink, pass through each other, and form chains and other complex patterns and configurations. The rings may even be handed out to audience members for examination. Sometimes an audience member is invited onto the stage to perform alongside the magician as part of a "do as I do" routine.

The Los Angeles Conference on Magic History is a biennial invitation-only conference created to showcase historical magic. Witchy Pretty Cure!, also known as Maho Girls PreCure!, is a 2016 Japanese anime television series by Toei Animation and the thirteenth installment in Izumi Todo's Pretty Cure metaseries, featuring the eleventh generation of Cures. The series, directed by Masato Mitsuka and written by Isao Murayama with character design by Emiko Miyamoto, aired on ANN television stations between February 2016 and January 2017, succeeding Go! Princess PreCure in its initial timeslot, and was succeeded by Kirakira Pretty Cure a la Mode. The series' main topic is friendship, while the series’ motifs are magic and jewelry. A sequel series has been announced by Toei, and is set to premiere in 2024.

Isekai Cheat Magician is a Japanese light novel series written by Takeru Uchida and illustrated by Nardack. The series began as a web novel series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2012. It was then acquired by Shufunotomo beginning in 2013; fifteen volumes have been published as of October 2021. A manga adaptation by Karin Suzuragi began serialization in Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine in December 2016, with fourteen tankōbon volumes released so far. An anime television series adaptation by Encourage Films aired from July to September 2019. In October 2019, Crunchyroll started showing the dubbed version.
