Todd Mervyn Betts (born June 24,1973) is a Canadian former professional baseball first baseman and a third baseman.
The Cleveland Indians chose Betts in the fourteen round in the 1993 Major League Baseball draft.
He later played with the Brantford Red Sox in the Ontario,Canada,Intercounty Baseball League.
In 2003,he played for Yakult Swallows in the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). After the 2003 season,he became a free agent.
In 2004,he played for New York Yankees organization. During the 2004 season,he was selected for Canada national baseball team at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Canada finished in fourth place.
He later signed with the La New Bears of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) in early 2006 and played with that team until July 2006. As of May 2006,Betts held the highest batting average and RBI in the league. However his performance slumped after he suffered vertebra injuries in June after which La New Bears ended his contract in July 2006.
On July 25,2007,he signed a contract with the Edmonton Cracker-Cats,hitting .275 with 1 home run in 33 games.
He next began his coaching career in 2008 between Team Canada and the Ontario Prospects helping develop professional hitters yearly before moving to the Ontario Blue Jays and Toronto Mets.

He has played all or parts of eight seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB),LVBP and one in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) between 1997 and 2006. Simon's debut season came with the Atlanta Braves in 1997,for whom he played until 1999. He attended college at the University of Nevada,Las Vegas (UNLV). He played in MLB for the Toronto Blue Jays (1985–1988),in Japan's Central League for the Hanshin Tigers (1989),and then in MLB for the Detroit Tigers (1990–1996),New York Yankees (1996–97),Anaheim Angels in 1998,and Cleveland Indians in 1998. With the Yankees,he won the 1996 World Series over the Atlanta Braves. In 1990,he became the first player to reach the 50–home run mark since George Foster hit 52 for the Cincinnati Reds in 1977 and the first American League player to do so since Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris famously hit 54 and 61 in 1961.
Miguel Jesús Cairo [ki'-row],is a Venezuelan former professional baseball infielder and current bench coach for the Chicago White Sox,who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for nine different clubs in a 17-year career,spanning from 1996 to 2012. During his playing days,Cairo stood 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 m) tall and weighed 225 pounds (102 kg) while batting and throwing right-handed. While primarily a second baseman,Cairo was able to play all the infield positions and as a corner outfielder. He was also used for pinch-hitting duties late in his career.
