Tokhon Kuasa Chilo is a 2021 Bengali thriller drama film directed by Saibal Mitra [1] and produced by Pradip Churiwal. The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Syed Mustafa Siraj published in 1985. [2] [3] [4] The film premiered at the 2019 Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival. [1] [5]

Plot

The film revolves around the life of a retired teacher Akhilbabu and his struggles as he goes against social injustice to ensure the safety of his family. He has two students, Sachin and Putu. Shachin is involved with political mafias and grows to become a goon who threats Akhilbabu with the intention to marry his granddaughter. At this juncture the teacher seeks help from another student, Putu, to save them from the goons. [6]

Annadaata is a 2002 Bengali-language action drama film directed by Ravi Kinagi. It was produced by Ashok Dhanuka under the banner of Eskay Movies. The film was a remake of 1990 Hindi film Swarg which was a loosely based on 1967 film Mehrban which itself was a remake of the 1960 Tamil movie Padikkadha Medhai which in turn was a remake of 1953 Bengali film Jog Biyog based on the novel of same name by Ashapoorna Devi. The film stars Prosenjit Chatterjee, Abdur Razzak and Sreelekha Mitra in the lead roles. Music of the film was composed by Babul Bose.

Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival (HBFF) is a Bengali film festival in the city of Hyderabad and is being organized annually since 2014. The venue of the festival is the Prasad Film Preview Labs, Hyderabad. The first edition of the film festival was held in the year 2014. It is the only curated Bengali film festival in India.

Khorkuto is a 2020 Indian Bengali-language romantic comedy drama television series that premiered on 17 August 2020 and airs on Bengali General Entertainment Channel Star Jalsha and is also available on the digital platform Disney+ Hotstar. The show is produced by Magic Moments Motion Pictures of Saibal Banerjee and Leena Gangopadhyay and starred Trina Saha Bhattacharya and Koushik Roy. The show's plotline and characters seem to have been heavily inspired from a previous show produced by Magic Moments Motion Pictures, Kojagori.

<i>Ek Akasher Niche</i> Indian television series

Ek Akasher Niche is a Family Drama Bengali television serial, which aired on Alpha Bangla. It was produced under the banner of Ravi Ojha Productions. The story is about a middle-class family that deals with various challenges and complications on a daily basis and fights all odds to stay united. With over a thousand episodes that aired in early 2000s the serial was a mega-blockbuster hit in Bengal and other Bengali language dominant parts of the world.
