Tommy Scott Hooper is a Canadian songwriter and musician.

He was a founding member of the Kelowna punk band Gentlemen of Horror, and also of The Grapes of Wrath, one of the most popular Canadian rock bands of the late 1980s and early 1990s. When singer/guitarist Kevin Kane left The Grapes of Wrath in 1992, Hooper and the rest of the band went on to become Ginger. Hooper and Kane later reunited as The Grapes of Wrath in 1998 and released an album called Field Trip in 2000. He is the brother of drummer and Grapes of Wrath bandmate Chris Hooper. [1]

Hooper later released a solo album, The Unexplored Cosmos, in 2002. In 2014, he released the album Basement Suite and in 2015, he released album "Tom's Journey through the solar system".

He is married to ex-Lava Hay singer songwriter Suzanne Little, with whom he has two children.

The Mavericks American country music band

The Mavericks are an American country music band from Miami, Florida. They were founded in 1989 by Raul Malo, Paul Deakin (drums), Robert Reynolds, and Ben Peeler. After one independent album, the band was signed by MCA Nashville Records, and David Lee Holt replaced Peeler on lead guitar; he would be replaced by Nick Kane shortly after their second MCA album and third overall 1994's What a Crying Shame. The band recorded a total of four albums for MCA and one for Mercury Records before disbanding in 2000. They reunited for one album in 2003 on Sanctuary Records, by which point Eddie Perez had become their fourth guitarist, and former touring keyboardist Jerry Dale McFadden became an official fifth member. The lineup of Malo, Deakin, Reynolds, Perez, and McFadden reunited a second time in 2012 for a series of new albums, first on Big Machine Records' Valory imprint and then on Mono Mundo. The Ghost of Tom Joad (song)

"The Ghost of Tom Joad" is a folk rock song written by Bruce Springsteen. It is the title track to his eleventh studio album, released in 1995. The character Tom Joad, from John Steinbeck's classic 1939 novel The Grapes of Wrath, is mentioned in the title and narrative. Originally a quiet folk song, "The Ghost of Tom Joad" has also been recorded by Rage Against the Machine and Junip. Springsteen himself has performed the song in a variety of arrangements, including with the E Street Band, and a live recording featuring Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello as guest. In 2013, Springsteen re-recorded the track with Tom Morello for his eighteenth studio album, High Hopes (2014).

The album marked the reunion of Kevin Kane and Tom Hooper as songwriting partners and bandmates for the first time since 1991's These Days, although they were the only two original band members to appear on the album. Session musicians filled in the remaining slots left by departing members Chris Hooper and Vincent Jones, including Pete Bourne on drums and Dave Genn on keyboards.
