Horace Thomas Ludwig Sr. (born 1944) is an American former college and professional basketball coach.

College career

Ludwig played college basketball for the University of Michigan Wolverines for four seasons where he helped to capture two Big Ten Conference titles and a second-place finish at the 1965 NCAA Championships. [1] Over 38 games in four seasons, he averaged 0.9 points and 0.3 rebounds per game. [2]

Coaching career

Ludwig coached at Lake Superior State from 1970 to 1974.

Ferris State

Ludwig compiled a 266–172 (.607) overall record as head coach of the Ferris State men's basketball program (1981–1995), achieving seven GLIAC titles in his 14 full seasons. [3] [4] Guard Jarvis Walker was one of his players at Ferris State.

He was suspended in 1995. [5]

Europe

Ludwig had two stints in Europe. On 12 October 1997, Crvena zvezda of the YUBA League hired Ludwig as their new head coach. He coached the club in 16 games. [6] He is the only non–European head coach of the Zvezda. In 2001, he led ratiopharm Ulm in the German 2. Basketball Bundesliga. [7]

Ferris State Bulldogs

The Ferris State Bulldogs are the athletic teams that represent Ferris State University, located in Big Rapids, Michigan, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sporting competitions. The Bulldogs compete as members of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for 14 of 15 varsity sports, while the men's hockey team plays in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. The Bulldogs have been members of the GLIAC since 1972.

2019–20 KK Crvena zvezda season

The 2019–20 KK Crvena zvezda season was the 75th season in the existence of the club. For the season it is referred to as KK Crvena zvezda mts for sponsorship reasons. The club played in the Adriatic League and the EuroLeague, which were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The season in the Basketball League of Serbia had no start due to the same reason.

Crvena Zvezda–Partizan basketball rivalry Basketball rivalry in Belgrade, Serbia

The Crvena Zvezda–Partizan basketball rivalry, commonly referred as the Eternal derby, is an Adriatic League, Serbian League, and Belgrade-based rivalry between Crvena zvezda and Partizan. These two basketball clubs are the biggest and most popular clubs in Serbia. The two clubs both play their home games at Aleksandar Nikolić Hall or Štark Arena in Belgrade. The rivalry started immediately after the creation of the two clubs in 1945 and the two clubs have been dominant in domestic basketball since then. It is present in a number of different sports but the most intense matches are in football sections of both clubs.

The 2020–21 KK Crvena zvezda season has been the 76th season in the existence of the club. For the season it's referred to as KK Crvena zvezda mts for sponsorship reasons.

The 2020–21 Michigan Tech Huskies men's basketball team will represent Michigan Tech in the 2020–21 NCAA Division II men's basketball season. The Huskies will be led by 27th-year head coach Kevin Luke and will play their home games at Sherman Stadium in Houghton, Michigan as members of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
