The Northwoods League is a collegiate summer baseball wooden bat league. All players in the league must have NCAA eligibility remaining in order to participate. The league is amateur,and players are not paid,so as to maintain their college eligibility. Graduated senior pitchers are also eligible to play in the Northwoods League. Each team may have four of these players at a time.
Cordel Leonard "Corey" Koskie is a Canadian former professional baseball third baseman,who played in Major League Baseball for the Minnesota Twins,Toronto Blue Jays,and Milwaukee Brewers. On February 4,2015,Koskie was elected to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.
Orlando Thill Hudson is an American former professional baseball second baseman. He played in Major League Baseball from 2002 to 2012 with the Toronto Blue Jays,Arizona Diamondbacks,Los Angeles Dodgers,Minnesota Twins,San Diego Padres and Chicago White Sox. Hudson was known for his fielding abilities,and for making spectacular lunging catches and diving stabs at grounders. His defensive talents were recognized in 2005,when he won his first American League Gold Glove Award while with the Toronto Blue Jays.
Justin Ernest George Morneau is a Canadian former professional baseball first baseman. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Minnesota Twins,Pittsburgh Pirates,Colorado Rockies,and Chicago White Sox. At 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) and 220 pounds (100 kg),Morneau was drafted as a catcher by the Twins in 1999. He converted to first base in the minor leagues and made his MLB debut in 2003. Morneau held that position throughout his career and in 2007 became the first Twin since Gary Gaetti in 1987–1988 to hit 30 home runs in consecutive seasons.

Robb William Quinlan is an American former Major League Baseball utility player who played first base,third base,corner outfield,catcher and designated hitter for the Anaheim Angels / Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim between 2003 and 2010.
Basil Paul McRae is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He is a part owner and alternate governor of the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League and he is the director of player personnel for the Columbus Blue Jackets. McRae was known as an enforcer with over 2,000 penalty minutes in his career.
Hill-Murray School is a coeducational private Catholic school serving grades 6–12. It is on a 40-acre (16 ha) site in Maplewood,Minnesota,United States,a suburb of Saint Paul. Located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis,it was established in 1971 as a result of the consolidation of Archbishop Murray Memorial High School and Hill High School. The Benedictine Sisters founded Archbishop Murray in 1958 as a school for young women. The Christian Brothers established Hill High in 1959 as a school for young men. The Middle School was added in 1989. The student population is drawn from the Twin Cities,surrounding suburban areas,and nearby Wisconsin communities. Hill-Murray is one of only 21 Minnesota high schools accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

He played the goaltender position at the University of Minnesota and professionally with the Los Angeles Kings and Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League.
Dean Charles Talafous is an American former professional ice hockey player. He played 497 regular season games in the National Hockey League (NHL) between 1974 and 1981 for the Atlanta Flames,Minnesota North Stars and New York Rangers as a right winger.
Mark Anthony Osiecki is an American ice hockey coach and former professional ice hockey player. Osiecki was the head coach of the Ohio State University ice hockey team from the 2010–11 season to the 2012–13 season. Osiecki played 93 games in the NHL for the Calgary Flames,Ottawa Senators,Winnipeg Jets and Minnesota North Stars. Osiecki was drafted by the Flames in the 9th round,187th overall in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft.
