Thomas James Williams (born 4 May 1994) is an Englishman who played cricket and hockey for Oxford University.
Williams was born at Epsom in May 1994. He was educated at Epsom College,where he father was deputy headteacher. From Epsom,he went up to read chemistry at Balliol College,Oxford. [1] While studying at Oxford,he made two appearances in first-class cricket for Oxford University against Cambridge University in The University Matches of 2013 and 2014. [2] In the 2013 fixture,he took a five wicket haul to help Oxford to victory by an innings and 186 runs,with Oxford's Sam Agarwal scoring a University Match record 313. [1] [3] He was the first Old Epsomian to earn a cricket blue in over thirty years. In addition to playing cricket for Oxford,he also represented the university at field hockey. [1]
Cambridge University Cricket Club,first recorded in 1817,is the representative cricket club for students of the University of Cambridge. Depending on the circumstances of each individual match,the club has always been recognised as holding first-class status. The university played List A cricket in 1972 and 1974 only. It has not played top-level Twenty20 cricket.

Reginald Bousfield Lagden OBE MC was a British businessman and sporting administrator in Calcutta. He was a double blue at the University of Cambridge,in cricket and field hockey,and went on to represent England in the latter sport,although his sporting career was interrupted by the First World War. After the war,Lagden settled in India,where he became prominent in Bengal business circles. He served as a president of the Calcutta Cricket and Football Club and the Cricket Association of Bengal,but died in a plane crash in 1944,aged 51.
