The Tomb of Princess Jeongseon is the burial area of the Andong Gwon clan. It is located at the north side of Guro Girls' Information Industry High School in Gung-dong,Guro,Seoul.
Princess Jeongseon(1594-1614) was the seventh daughter of King Seonjo of Joseon (14th king of Joseon Dynasty). She married Gwon Dae-im and lived in Gung-dong,Guro-gu,Seoul. The region's name was changed 'Gong-dong' because they lived in a large house like a palace.
There are Andong Gwon clan's tombs and memorial hall. It is regarded as valuable research material. Also,there is Gungdong Eco park nearby and it is good for taking a walk. Tomb of Princess Jeongseon and Gung-dong Eco Park is one of the Nine Scenic Views of Guro (구로구경:九老九景). [1] [2]
Taejong,personal name Yi Bang-won,was the third monarch of the Joseon dynasty of Korea and the father of Sejong the Great. He was the fifth son of King Taejo,the founder of the dynasty. Before ascending to the throne,he was known as Prince Jeongan.
Sunjo,personal name Yi Gong,was the 23rd monarch of the Joseon dynasty of Korea. He was the second son of King Jeongjo by his concubine,Royal Noble Consort Su of the Bannam Park clan.
Munjong,personal name Yi Hyang,was the fifth monarch of the Joseon dynasty of Korea. As the eldest son of Sejong the Great and Queen Soheon,he succeeded to the throne in 1450.
Danjong,personal name Yi Hong-wi,was the sixth monarch of the Joseon dynasty of Korea. He was forced to abdicate by his uncle,Grand Prince Suyang,and was put to death after being exiled to Yeongwol.
Seongjong,personal name Yi Hyeol,was the ninth monarch of the Joseon dynasty of Korea. Before succeeding his uncle,King Yejong,he was known as Grand Prince Jalsan.
Gwon Yul was a Korean Army General and the Commander-in-chief of the Joseon Dynasty,who successfully led the Korean forces against Japan during the Japanese invasions of Korea. He is best known for the Battle of Haengju where he defeated an attacking force of about 30,000 Japanese with 2,800 troops.

Heonjong,personal name Yi Hwan,was the 24th monarch of the Joseon dynasty of Korea. His father was Crown Prince Hyomyeong,who died at the age of 20 before becoming king,and his mother was Queen Sinjeong of the Pungyang Jo clan.
Guro District (Guro-gu) is a district of Seoul,South Korea,which was separated from Yeongdeungpo District on April 1,1980. Located in the southwestern part of the city,where besides Yangcheon District and Geumcheon District Guro District has an important position as a transport link which contains railroads,land routes from the rest of Seoul to the south of the country. Jeong In-ji was a Korean Neo-Confucian scholar,historian who served as Vice Minister of Education or Deputy Chief Scholar during the reign of King Sejong the Great,Minister of Rites during the reign of King Munjong and Danjong,Left or Second State Councillor from 1453 to 1455 during the reign of King Danjong,and Chief State Councillor from 1455 to 1458 during the reign of King Sejo. He was nicknamed Hakyeokjae (학역재). He was from the Hadong Jeong clan
Gwon Geun was a Korean Neo-Confucian scholar at the dawn of the Joseon dynasty,and a student of Yi Saek. He was one of the first Neo-Confucian scholars of the Joseon dynasty,and had a lasting influence on the rise of Neo-Confucianism in Korea.
Queen Sunwon,of the Andong Kim clan was the queen consort and wife of Sunjo of Joseon. She was known as Queen Dowager Myeonggyeong (명경왕대비) after her husband's death in 1834. She served as regent between 1834 and 1841 during her grandson,Heonjong of Joseon's reign,and in 1849–1852 during her adoptive son,Cheoljong of Joseon's reign. She was posthumously called as Sunwon,the Respectful Empress.
Naemyeongbu,literally Women of the Internal Court,was a category of rank in the royal court of the Joseon dynasty that referred to concubines and female officials living within the palaces. It was separate from the Oemyeongbu category,which consisted of royal women living outside the palace.
Gwon Ram,art name Sohandang (소한당) was a Korean politician,writer,and historian of the Joseon period. He served as Left State Councillor,and the entourage of Sejo of Joseon.
Grand Prince Hyoryeong,personal name Yi Bo,was the second son of King Taejong of Joseon and his wife,Queen Wongyeong. He was the elder brother of Sejong the Great.
Princess Yi Gu-ji was a Joseon Dynasty princess,writer,artist,and poet. She was forced to commit suicide after it was discovered that she had cohabited with a slave after being widowed.
Queen Jeongsun,of the Yeosan Song clan,was a posthumous name bestowed to the wife and queen consort of Yi Hong-wi,King Danjong,the 6th Joseon monarch. She was queen consort of Joseon from 1454 until her husband's abdication in 1455,after which she was honoured as Queen Dowager Uideok (의덕왕대비) until her deposition in 1457.
Queen Hyeondeok,of the Andong Gwon clan,was the primary consort of Crown Prince Yi Hyang. She died giving birth to the future Danjong of Joseon and was posthumously honoured as Queen Hyeondeok (현덕왕후) in 1450,later demoted by Sejo of Joseon after he deposed her son,then restored by Jungjong of Joseon.
Princess Bokon was a Korean princess,as the second daughter of Sunjo of Joseon and Queen Sunwon of the Andong Kim clan.
The Pungyang Jo clan is a Korean clan that traces its origin to Namyangju,Gyeonggi Province. According to the 2015 Korean census,the clan has 124,262 members.
