Background

Arlyn had recorded and released her second studio album Complicated Mess in 2006 with the purpose of trying to secure a record deal, but when that fell through she returned home to Oregon and began working on her next album while continuing to tour to support herself. [2] During touring, she'd practice and write material that would ultimately end up on Tomorrow Another Day. Arlyn also made more of an effort to do co-writing sessions after the self-penned Complicated Mess, writing three songs with different co-writers, including Dapo Torimiro, [3] Ben Margulies and Steve Sundholm. Arlyn sought out a new producer after exhausting herself self-producing her last album and met Rob Stroup, who became the lead producer for the album. Recording was handled at Stroup's 8Ball Studios in Portland, Oregon.

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, he has worked in the music industry in the US for several years writing and producing music for artists' album projects, touring with numerous artists, as well as scoring various television and film projects. He is based in Los Angeles, CA.

Ben Margulies is a Grammy-nominated songwriter and a RIAA nine-time platinum certified record producer, as well as a drummer, guitarist, piano player and singer. He is best known for co-writing seven of the 11 songs on Mariah Carey's self-titled debut album, including the number one hits "Vision of Love", "Love Takes Time", and "Someday". The album was nominated for multiple Grammys and has sold over 20 million records worldwide. "Love Takes Time" also won Song of the Year at the 1992 BMI Pop Awards.

In the period after releasing Complicated Mess in 2006, Arlyn met her future husband and the two were married around their two-year anniversary, a few weeks after the release of Tomorrow Another Day in March 2008. [2] [3] After the wedding, Arlyn would continue to tour constantly and working on new material for an EP release in 2009.

Songs and themes

The songs on the album largely revolve around love, relationships and romantic themes. [4] Most songs were written based on experiences Arlyn had with former boyfriends, her husband and fictional relationships. [2] [3] [5] Songs are based around piano composition, which is Arlyn's primary instrument.

Love encompasses a range of strong and positive emotional and mental states, from the most sublime virtue or good habit, the deepest interpersonal affection and to the simplest pleasure. An example of this range of meanings is that the love of a mother differs from the love of a spouse, which differs from the love of food. Most commonly, love refers to a feeling of strong attraction and emotional attachment.

An intimate relationship is an interpersonal relationship that involves physical or emotional intimacy. Although an intimate relationship is commonly a sexual relationship, it may also be a non-sexual relationship involving family, friends, or acquaintances.

Romance (love) type of love that focuses on feelings over libido

Romance is an emotional feeling of love for, or a strong attraction towards, another person, and the courtship behaviors undertaken by an individual to express those overall feelings and resultant emotions.
