Anthony Ifeanyichukwu Ezenna (born 21 April 1957) is a Nigerian businessman and philanthropist. [2] He was the founder of Orange Drugs Nigeria Limited, [3] a company that specializes in the distribution of pharmaceutical and beauty products from Indonesia, Germany, Italy, and the United States to Nigeria.

Early life

Ezenna was born in Port Harcourt, River State, Nigeria, where he grew up before moving to Onitsha. He attended St. David Primary School in Owerre Akokwa, followed by Christ the King College, Onitsha for his high school education. He later paused his education due to financial hardship and joined his father's business. [4]

Personal life

He is married to Elizabeth Ezenna and is a devout Christian. [5]

Since 2017, they reside in Houston, Texas. They have two children: Ezra and Olanna. [6]

His other son, Ernest, [7] married Adaobi, the daughter of Chief Paul Nweke, on 10 August 2024. [1]

Ezenna's brother, Chief Chinedu Ezenna, passed away two months before the wedding. [1]

In 2018, he returned to Nigeria, where he became a neighbour of the former President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. [8]

The 2023 Enugu State gubernatorial election took place on 18th March 2023, to elect the Governor of Enugu State, with Peter Mbah declared winner alongside his running mate Barrister Ifeanyi Ossai of the Peoples Democratic Party (Nigeria), after they got the plurality of votes and won over 25% of the votes in two-third of the state. Mr Mbah polled 160,895 votes to defeat his closest challenger, the Labour Party (Nigeria) candidate, Chijioke Edeoga, who scored 157,552 votes. The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Frank Nweke Jr, garnered 17,983 votes to come a distant third, while the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Uche Nnaji, placed fourth, with 14,575 votes. The election was contested in the Tribunal by Chijoike Edeoga but the tribunal eventually upheld the victory of Peter Mbah.

Simon Nsobundu Okeke is a Nigerian politician and former chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC) from Nnewi, Anambra state. He is one of the forebears of the 1999 democratic government in Nigeria that transitioned from Military rule. In 2023, he advocated and encouraged political parties to nominate a presidential candidate of Igbo extraction for the purpose of inclusion. He was awarded ECOWAS Award for leadership role in Business and Profession.
