Tootsie's Cabaret Miami is a large adult entertainment club in Miami Gardens, a suburb of Miami in northern Miami-Dade County, Florida. It is the largest strip club in the world at 76,000 square feet. [1]

History

Tootsie's Cabaret opened in 1993 as a small club in Miami Gardens. In 2006, the club moved to a building that formerly housed a BJ's distribution center in Miami Gardens. [2] [3]

In 2007 a subsidiary of RCI Hospitality Holdings Inc. acquired Tootsie's Cabaret for $25 million. [4] In 2015 the subsidiary purchased the building two, increasing the square footage.

Tootsie's is known for their lobster tail and lemon pepper wings. [5]

On March 1, 2022, RCI announced Tootsie’s was one of the first of RCI’s subsidiaries to accept Bitcoin as payment. [6]

In October 2020 Tootsie's Cabaret sued Miami-Dade County over the 12:00 midnight curfew it had imposed on bars and clubs as a means of limiting the spread of Covid-19. [7]

Music artist Drake in the 2015 track "Back to Back" mentioned Tootsie's in the lyrics, "I mean whoa, can't fool the city, man, they know what's up, second floor at Tootsie's, getting shoulder rubs". Miami music artist Pitbull mentions Tootsie's in his 2012 Global Warming album. I'm off that, "Scarlett's, Tootsies, I love that." Time Out magazine lists Tootsie's Cabaret as a top strip club destination in Miami. [8] Thrillist lists Tootsie's Cabaret as the best Strip Club to Watch a Game. [9]

On December 2, 2021, contemporary artist Todd Gray, as part of Miami's famed Art Week, body-painted a dancer and previewed recent original pieces of artwork at Tootsie's. [10]

Margaret Pace Park is an 8-acre (3.2 ha) urban park located in the Arts & Entertainment District and Edgewater district of Greater Downtown Miami, Florida, U.S.A. The park is located on Biscayne Bay and has tennis courts as well as personal fitness equipment. It was created in the late 1960s and named in honor of Margaret Pace, who was a founder and past president of the Miami Garden Club. Pace was also chairwoman of Royal Palm State Park, which later became part of Everglades National Park, according to the Biscayne Times. A former vice president the Miami Women’s Club, which is located next door, Pace fought development of the adjoining bayfront green space, which became the park and was named in her honor, according to the Miami Herald. Directly across North Bayshore Drive, three large condominium complexes that were built in the 2000s housing an economic bubble overlook the park. The park underwent a $4 million renovation during this time. An even larger building is under construction adjacent the park As of 2015. The historic Miami Women's Club building is located directly to the south of the park.
