Plot

Balu is an orphan and a good samaritan often helping people in need by charging a minimal amount for his living. Madhusudan Rao is a rich man who lost consciousness because of an accident. His wife Rohini runs the family with difficulty, unable to control her family members. Their accountant Gurunatham frequently visits Mahesh Anand, who keeps probing him about the whereabouts of a video cassette. As Madhusudan Rao lost his mind, he repeats the same thing when somebody asks a question. Rohini's estranged younger brother Dasu had been jailed because of her and wanted to take revenge by spoiling her family members.

Rohini seeks the help of Balu to set things right in her family. He initially asks for some money but is moved after seeing her tears. He also realizes that she helped him complete the last rites of his mother when nobody else helped him. He agrees to go as her eldest son. As soon as he enters, he takes control of the house. He also realizes that Rohini has been hiding something from him by not revealing the truth behind her husband's accident. Later he finds out that she is afraid of Mahesh Anand, who threatens to kill her husband if he becomes normal and reveals the secret tapes which he filmed while he was killing a person. She silently throws away all the medicines given by a doctor to cure her husband's mental illness so that he would never be fully conscious and gets killed by Mahesh Anand. Balu assures her and makes sure Madhusudan Rao gets proper medication and soon he becomes normal. Mahesh Anand finds out from Dasu that Madhusudan Rao is back to normal, and tries to kidnap him, but Balu comes and rescues him. Mahesh Anand is captured by the police.
