Topps Tiles was founded by Alan Brindle and Edward Derbyshire who opened the company's first store in Sale, Cheshire, in 1963. [2]
It then continued to open stores across the North West and the Midlands. [3]
In 1990, Topps Tiles merged with Tile Kingdom, a business operating in London and the Southeast, which had been established by Stuart Williams and Barry Bester in 1984. [4]
