The Juno Awards, or simply known as the Junos, are awards presented by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences to recognize outstanding achievements in the music industry. They were originally called the Gold Leaf Awards, and the trophy resembled a metronome. Alongside the Canadian Screen Awards, they are considered one of the main annual Canadian entertainment award shows. The first Juno Awards ceremony was held on February 23, 1970 to honor the musical accomplishments of performers for the year 1969. New members of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame are also inducted as part of the awards ceremonies.

Live at the Enmore Theatre (2007) is a single DVD by Canadian singer/songwriter Jeff Martin and the Toronto Tabla Ensemble. Like the Live in Brisbane 2006 album, the performance was recorded during Martin's September tour of Australia. The DVD features an entire performance, as well as bonus material including an interview with Martin and Ritesh Das; backstage footage; scenes from soundcheck and an instore appearance; and a marriage proposal by a fan to another on stage.

Chitresh Das was a classical dancer of the North Indian style of Kathak. Born in Calcutta, Das was a performer, choreographer, composer and educator. He was instrumental in bringing Kathak to the US and is credited with having established Kathak amongst the Indian diaspora in America. In 1979, Das established the Chhandam School of Kathak and the Chitresh Das Dance Company in California. In 2002, he founded Chhandam Nritya Bharati in India. There were ten branches of Chhandam worldwide. Until his death in 2015, Das taught dance as a way of life, a path for attaining self-knowledge and as a service to society.

The Swinging Belles are a Canadian children's music group from St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. The band, who perform in a swing jazz style, consists of vocalists Laura Winter and Erin Power, and guitarist Duane Andrews. Winter and Power are both schoolteachers who also perform country music with The Dilettantes, and Andrews is Power's husband. Power is also the sister of musician and broadcaster Tom Power.
