Kompakt is a Cologne-based electronic music independent record label and vinyl/CD distributor, owned by Wolfgang Voigt, Michael Mayer and Jürgen Paape. They specialize in microhouse and minimal techno, and are known for their Total compilation series which reached its seventeenth installment in 2017.
The Orb are an English electronic music group founded in 1988 by Alex Paterson and Jimmy Cauty. Known for their psychedelic sound, the Orb developed a cult following among clubbers "coming down" from drug-induced highs. Their influential 1991 debut album The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld pioneered the UK's nascent ambient house movement, while its UK chart-topping follow-up U.F.Orb represented the genre's commercial peak.

Chromophobia is the debut album of Brazilian producer Gui Boratto. It was released in February 2007 on the Kompakt label. Tracks containing guitar and piano were played by Gui Boratto. All vocals are by Luciana Villanova. It was named the 43rd best album of the decade by Resident Advisor.

Speaking in Code is a character-based documentary directed by Amy Grill about people's obsessions with the techno electronic music lifestyle and the effects on their lives. It follows Modeselektor, the Wighnomy Brothers, Philip Sherburne, Monolake and David Day for three years as they attempt to grow in the techno community, as well as Grill's struggles to complete the film. It was shot in 11 cities and 5 countries.

"My Head Is a Jungle" is a remixed version of Australian singer-songwriter Emma Louise's solo single "Jungle", credited to German producer Wankelmut and Emma Louise. It was released in 2 January 2013 through German label Poesie Musik, a sublabel of Get Physical Music. "My Head Is a Jungle" charted across Europe, having the most success in Italy and the United Kingdom, where it reached number 5.
