Tracey Hinton (born 19 March 1970) is a Paralympic athlete being visually impaired and classed as T11 in the Paralympic classification system. Born in Cardiff and a member of Cardiff Amateur Athletic Club, Hinton has been blind since having cancer of the retina aged four which resulted in her losing her sight. [1] She has won three silver and three bronze medals at Paralympic level.

She competed in the 1992 Summer Paralympics winning a silver medal in the 400m B1, a silver medal in the 200m B1 and a bronze medal in the 100m B1. 2000 saw her win bronze medals in the T11 200m and T11 400m and silver in the T12 800m. [2] She is the 800 metres world record holder in her class with a time of 2mins:17.66secs. [3]

Hinton has been selected to compete in the 2012 Summer Paralympics, her sixth games. [4] She was chosen as captain of the women's athletics squad for Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Paralympics. [5]

Hinton participated at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in the T11/T12 100m, qualifying for the final with a run of 13.79 seconds with her guide Stefan Hughes.

Pearson represented Great Britain in the 2008 Summer Paralympics, becoming the first women to compete in wheelchair rugby for her country at the Paralympics. After competing as a sprint athlete, Pearson switched to throwing events and qualified for the 2012 Summer Paralympics in both discus and club throw in the F51 class, eventually taking the gold in discus with a world record distance.

Bethany "Bethy" Woodward is a former British Paralympic athlete who competed in sprint events in T37 events. She competed at the highest level of her sport, representing England at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and Great Britain in the IPC Athletic World Championships and the 2012 Summer Paralympics.

The 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships was the biggest track and field competition for athletes with a disability since the 2012 Summer Paralympics. It was held in Lyon, France, and lasted from 20 to 28 July. Around 1,100 athletes competed, from 94 different countries. The event was held in the Stade du Rhône located at the Parc de Parilly in Vénissieux, in Lyon Metropolis.

Zachary "Zac" Shaw is a British visually impaired sprinter who competes in the T12 and T13 disability classifications. At the age of nine he became afflicted with stargardt disease. In 2013 he started training for the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro but was ultimately unsuccessful. In 2014 Shaw won silver in both 100 metres and 200 metres at the UK School Games. In 2015 he made his international debut in the Berlin IPC Grand Prix where he won bronze.
