Commuting is periodically recurring travel between a place of residence and place of work or study, where the traveler, referred to as a commuter, leaves the boundary of their home community. By extension, it can sometimes be any regular or often repeated travel between locations, even when not work-related. The modes of travel, time taken and distance traveled in commuting varies widely across the globe. Most people in least-developed countries continue to walk to work. The cheapest method of commuting after walking is usually by bicycle, so this is common in low-income countries but is also increasingly practised by people in wealthier countries for environmental and health reasons. In middle-income countries, motorcycle commuting is very common.

The Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) is an autonomous division in Assam, India, and a proposed state in Northeast India. It is made up of five districts on the north bank of the Brahmaputra River below the foothills of Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh. It is administered by an elected body known as the Bodoland Territorial Council which came into existence under the terms of a peace agreement signed in February 2003 and its autonomy was further extended by an agreement signed in January 2020. The region covers an area of over nine thousand square kilometres and is predominantly inhabited by the Bodo people and other indigenous communities of Assam.

He won the third General Assembly Elections 2015 and formed his Government for the third time. Biswajit Daimary is an Indian politician from Bharatiya Janata Party who is serving as the Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly since 2021. He represents the Panery constituency in Assam Legislative Assembly since 2021. He was also member of Rajya Sabha as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party from 2021 to 2021 and as a member of the Bodoland People's Front from 2008 to 2020. He was first elected as Member of Assam Legislative Assembly from 2001 to 2006. He was elected for second term from 2014 to 2020 as a member of Bodoland People's Front and from 2021 as a member of Bharatiya Janata Party. In November 2020, Daimary left BPF to join Bharatiya Janata Party before Bodoland Territorial Council elections.
Bodoland Martyrs Gold Cup is a football tournament in the Bodoland Territorial Region, Assam, India, organised by Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA). It is played in memory of Bodoland martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the cause of Bodoland movement.
The COVID-19 pandemic had a large impact on public transport. Many countries advised that public transport should only be used when essential; passenger numbers fell drastically, and services were reduced. Provision of a reasonable service for the much smaller number of fare-paying passengers incurred large financial losses.

He was the former president of All Bodo Students Union from 2009 to 2020.
