There are three tram lines in Oradea, and these run together for most of their journey. The lines are 1, 2 and 3. Lines 1 and 3 run together in a city loop, while Line 2 joins part of this loop in part of its journey. All quarters except Vie are served by trams. Trams do not actually run in the city centre, since this is a historic area with narrow streets. They do, however, run on the border of the city in a loop, and then continue through to all the residential areas and quarters.
Line 3 was called Line 4 before 2004, and there was no route named Line 3. However, in order to make the line order more logical, Line 4 was renamed Line 3 in 2004.
In 2008 and 2009 10 new Siemens ULF trams were introduced to the Oradea tram system. The first Siemens tram was put in service in April 2008.
In 2018, Oradea took delivery of 10 Tatra KT4D trams from the Berlin transport operator BVG.
The 10th European Tramdriver Championship was held in the city on the 3rd June 2023. [2]

Night service, sometimes also known as owl service, is a mode of public transport service operated during the night hours. As an intermediate approach – between providing full service around the clock and stopping services altogether – it provides more limited service during times of lower passenger volume, saving resources and allowing for maintenance on primary transportation systems. They typically offer fewer routes and less frequent service. Night-based services may be differently branded compared to daytime services. Examples are London and Chicago, where overnight buses are prefixed with an "N" for "night". Another common way to distinguish night services from their daytime counterparts is dark-colored line numbers. Some cities apply a different fare structure for night services from their daytime services.
A tram-train is a type of light rail vehicle that both meets the standards of a light rail system, and also national mainline standards. Tramcars are adapted to be capable of running on streets like an urban tramway but also be permitted operation alongside mainline trains. This allows services that can utilise both existing urban light rail systems and mainline railway networks and stations. It combines the urban accessibility of a tram or light rail with a mainline train's greater speed in the suburbs.
Bucharest has the largest transport network in Romania, and one of the largest in Europe. The Bucharest transport network is made up of a subway network and a ground transport network. Although there are multiple connection points, the two systems operate independently of each other, and are run by different organisations (the subway is run by Metrorex and the ground transport network by Societatea de Transport București. The two companies used separate ticketing systems until 2021, when a new smartcard was introduced alongside the old tickets, which allows travel on both the STB and the Underground.
Societatea de Transport București is one of the main public transit operators in Bucharest, Romania, owned by the Municipality of Bucharest. From 1990 to 2018, the company had a different legal status and was known as the Regia Autonomă de Transport București (RATB).

It has been in service since 1904, and is, along with the larger Gothenburg tram network, one of only two city-centre tramways in Sweden that survived the switch to right-hand traffic in 1967, which led to the replacement of most Swedish tramways with buses to reduce the cost of replacing their now-unusable fleets.

The new Olsztyn tram network is one of two networks built in Poland after World War II and the only one to be rebuilt after being dismantled, although its routes do not follow those of the pre-1965 network.
