Trevon Abashai Griffith (born 18 April 1991) is a Jamaican cricketer who has played for both Guyana and Jamaica in West Indian domestic cricket, and also for the Guyana Amazon Warriors franchise in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He is a left-handed opening batsman.

Griffith played for the West Indies under-19s at the 2010 Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand, scoring 84 runs in a group-stage match against Pakistan. [1] The previous year, he had also played at List A level for the team, when it appeared in the 2009–10 WICB President's Cup. [2] Griffith made his senior debut for Guyana during the 2011–12 Regional Super50, and his first-class debut in the 2011–12 Regional Four Day Competition. [3] He scored his maiden first-class half-century during the 2013–14 season, an innings of 58 against the Leeward Islands. [4] Prior to the 2015–16 season, Griffith was drafted to Jamaica, eventually making his debut for the team in January 2016, in the 2015–16 Regional Super50. [5] He signed with the Amazon Warriors for the inaugural 2013 Caribbean Premier League, but has only made sporadic appearances in that competition. [6]

In June 2021, he was selected to take part in the Minor League Cricket tournament in the United States following the players' draft. [7]

The Guyana cricket team is the representative first class cricket team of Guyana.

The Regional Four Day Competition, formerly known as Shell Shield and Carib Beer Cup, is the first-class cricket competition in the West Indies. It is administered by the Cricket West Indies. It was originally formed in the early 1920s as the West Indies Cricket Board of Control, but changed its name to West Indies Cricket Board in 1996. In November 2015, the Board resolved to rename itself as Cricket West Indies as part of a restructuring exercise that would also see the creation of a separate commercial body. This rebranding formally occurred in May 2017.

Caribbean Premier League Annual Twenty20 cricket tournament held in the Caribbean

The Caribbean Premier League is an annual Twenty20 cricket tournament held in the Caribbean. It was founded by Cricket West Indies in 2013 to replaced the Caribbean Twenty20 as the premier Twenty20 competition in the Caribbean. It is currently sponsored by Hero MotoCorp and consequently officially named the Hero CPL. The inaugural tournament was won by the Jamaica Tallawahs who defeated the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final.

The 2020–21 Super50 Cup was the 47th edition of the Super50 Cup, the domestic limited-overs cricket competition for the countries of the Cricket West Indies (CWI). The tournament took place in February 2021 in Antigua and Barbuda. Six teams competed in the tournament – Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, the Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Windward Islands. The West Indies Emerging Team won the previous edition of the competition.
