The triathlon individual race for women at the 2023 European Games , in Krakow, was held on 27 June 2023. A total of 60 women will compete over the 'standard' or 'Olympic' distance. [1] [2] This will be the second appearance of triathlon in the European Games program after 2015. Reigning champion, Nicola Spirig does not start, but newly crowned European champion Jeanne Lehair will start for Luxembourg.

The fifty-four highest ranked athletes per sex on the Europe Triathlon Ranking as of 3 May 2023 are allocated one quota place for their NOC, respecting the maximum quota allocation of three per NOC per event. In case the NOC already obtained the quotas, they will not be allocated these quota places. Any nation which qualifies two men and two women will be eligible for the team event. [5]
Triathlon is one of the events where performance in the 2023 Games impacts indirectly on Olympic qualification, by way of ranking points. The event will therefore be held over the Olympic distance; a 1500 metre swim, a 40 km bike ride and a 10 km run. [6]

Triathlon had its Summer Olympics debut at the 2000 Games, in Sydney, when men's and women's individual events were first held, and has been contested since then. In 2021, at the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics a mixed team relay event was held for the first time. The sport, and its Olympic events, are governed by the International Triathlon Union, known since 2019 as World Triathlon.
The women's triathlon was one of the triathlon events at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, United Kingdom. It took place on 4 August 2012, featuring 55 women from 31 countries. It was the fourth appearance of an Olympic women's triathlon event since the first at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. The race was around Hyde Park, a 1.42 km2 park in central London. The race was held over the "international distance" and consisted of 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) swimming, 43 kilometres (27 mi) road cycling, and 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) road running.
The triathlon competitions at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro took place from 18 to 20 August 2016 at Fort Copacabana. Fifty-five athletes competed in each of the men's and women's events.
The triathlon competitions at the 2015 European Games, in Baku, were held on 13 and 14 June 2015. A total of 105 athletes, 57 men and 48 women, competed.
A total of 130 athletes will compete at the 2015 European Games, 65 men and 65 women. A maximum of 12 NOCs may qualify three athletes per event. Other NOCs may have a maximum of two quota places per event. Three quota places will be allocated to the first 12 nations to have three athletes eligible through the qualification process.
For the cycling competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics, the following qualification systems are in place.
This article details the qualifying phase for taekwondo at the 2020 Summer Olympics.. The competition at these Games will comprise a total of 128 taekwondo fighters coming from their respective NOCs. Each NOC is allowed to enter up to one competitor per event, resulting in a maximum of eight competitors, four of each gender.
The women's cross-country mountain biking event at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place on 27 July 2021 at the Izu MTB Course, Izu, Shizuoka. 38 cyclists from 29 nations were expected to compete, but only 37 did. The race ended in all three medals won by Swiss athletes, the first medal sweep in Olympic cycling history.
Ice hockey at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics took place at the Vaudoise Aréna in Lausanne, Switzerland from 10 to 22 January 2020.
Great Britain, the team of the British Olympic Association (BOA) which represents the United Kingdom, is scheduled to compete at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris from 26 July to 11 August 2024. British athletes have appeared in every Summer Olympic Games of the modern era, alongside Australia, France, Greece, and Switzerland.
The triathlon competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are scheduled to run from 30 July to 5 August at Pont d'Iéna, featuring a total of 110 athletes who will compete in each of the men's and women's events. After a hugely successful Tokyo 2020, the mixed relay competition remains in the triathlon program for the second time at the Olympics.

The competition at these Games will comprise a total of 110 athletes coming from their respective NOCs with a maximum of three per gender. All athletes must undergo a qualifying pathway to earn a spot for the Games through the World Triathlon Mixed Relay Championships, the Olympic Qualification Event, the Continental Qualification, and the Olympic Qualification List which began on 27 May 2022 and then concludes two years later on the same date.

Taekwondo competitions at the 2023 European Games were held between 23 and 26 June 2023 at the Krynica-Zdrój Arena in Krynica-Zdrój. Taekwondo returned to the European Games for the second time, after being part of the inaugural edition at Baku 2015, and the G4 grading of the competition meant that ranking points won by athletes counted for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualification.

The triathlon mixed at the 2023 European Games, in Krakow, was held on 1 July 2023. A total of 16 teams of four athletes each, two men and two women running in the male - female - male - female format will compete over the super-sprint relay distance. This will be the first appearance of triathlon mixed relay in the European Games program. Both the reigning Olympic and World Champions at mixed relay, Great Britain and France, are set to start : both have already qualified for the event in Paris 2024.
Five modern pentathlon events at the 2023 European Games were held at the Bronisław Czech Academy of Physical Education in Kraków, Poland, from 25 June to 1 July 2023. Five events were on the program under the new format of modern pentathlon.
Canoe slalom events at the 2023 European Games were held at the Kraków-Kolna Canoe Slalom Course. A total of 10 medal events were contested, 5 for men and women each.
