Trinidad Ardiles (born 10 May 2003) is a Chilean swimmer. [1] She competed in the women's 200 metre backstroke event at the 2018 FINA World Swimming Championships (25 m), in Hangzhou, China. [2]

Elizabeth Lyon Beisel is an American competition swimmer who specializes in backstroke and individual medley events. Tom Shields American swimmer

Thomas Allen Shields is an American competitive swimmer. He is a two-time Olympian and the current American record-holder in the short course 50-meter and 200-meter butterfly events. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, Shields won a gold medal in the 4x100-meter medley relay for swimming the butterfly leg of the relay in the prelims. Later the same year he became the first American to swim faster than 44 seconds in the 100-yard butterfly, setting a new American record of 43.84. For the 2020 Summer Olympics, he swam the butterfly leg of the 4x100-meter medley relay in the prelims, and won a gold medal in the event when the finals relay finished in first place.

The 12th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) were held in Doha, Qatar on 3–7 December 2014. The Hamad Aquatic Centre in the Aspire Zone hosted the event.

Michelle Coleman is a Swedish competitive swimmer specialized in the sprint freestyle and backstroke events. She is the current Swedish national record holder in the 100 meter backstroke, and the 200 meter backstroke. Smoliga is the current American record-holder in the 50-meter backstroke. She is also the current Guinness World Record holder for "most gold medals won at a single FINA World Championships" by an individual swimmer. At the 2016 Summer Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro, she won a gold medal for swimming the backstroke leg in the preliminary heat of the 4x100-meter medley relay.
