Trond Vegar Magnussen (born 1 February 1973) is a Norwegian former professional ice hockey player. His last tenure was with his hometown Stjernen in the GET-ligaen. He played for the Norwegian national team in multiple international tournaments, including the 1994 Winter Olympics.

Playing career

Trond Magnussen has played in the top leagues in three European countries, Norway, Sweden, Germany. In Norway he played for Stjernen and Lillehammer I.K. In Sweden he has represented Frölunda Indians and Färjestads BK in the Elitserien, he also played with Leksands IF in Allsvenskan. In Germany he was with both DEG Metro Stars and Duisburg in the DEL. During his time with Färjestad he won the Swedish Championship once.

He represented Norway in eleven IIHF World Championships.

In 1995 Magnussen received the Golden Puck from the Norwegian Ice Hockey Federation.

He is the head of European Scouting for the Calgary Flames after resigning as president of Hockey Operations for Färjestad. Considered one of the greatest Swedish hockey players of all time, he was inducted into the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame in 1998, and the Swedish ice hockey Hall of Fame in 2012. The Elitserien created the Håkan Loob Trophy, awarded to the league's top goal scorer, in his honour in 2005 and Färjestad has retired his jersey number 5.

Mathias Evert Johansson is a Swedish former professional ice hockey forward. He played 58 games in the National Hockey League with the Calgary Flames and Pittsburgh Penguins during the 2002–03 season. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1990 to 2010, was mainly spent in the Swedish Hockey League. Internationally Johansson played for the Swedish national team at four World Championships and the 2002 Winter Olympics.
