Tubes is the second-highest peak of the Mecsek mountain range in Hungary. Its elevation is 611 metres (2005 ft) above sea level. The peak's name probably derives from "tuba", a Hungarian word for wild dove. [1]
The peak is the site of a military radar station and a look-out tower. The 22 metre-high tower was completed in 2001 and provides a clear view in every direction. [2] In 2005, the Hungarian government chose Tubes as the site for a 3D NATO military radar, however, due to civil resistance, the project was developed in Tolna county. [3]

Camp Evans Historic District is an area of the Camp Evans Formerly Used Defense Site in Wall Township, New Jersey. The site of the military installation is noted for a 1914 transatlantic radio receiver and various World War II/Cold War laboratories of the United States Army. It was established on 10 February 1943. The remains of the radar station were added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 22 July 2008.

The Pécs TV Tower is a television tower in Pécs, Hungary, standing on the Misina peak of Mecsek, measuring 197 metres, the tallest building in Hungary, with a publicly accessible observation deck at a height of 75 metres, and a restaurant at 72 metres. The tower was built from 1968 to 1973. There is a dinosaur exhibition at the restaurant level, with two life-sized dinosaur mock-ups, depicting the once native Komlosaurus.
Highlands Air Force Station was a military installation in Middletown Township near the borough of Highlands, New Jersey. The station provided ground-controlled interception radar coverage as part of the Lashup Radar Network and the Semi-Automatic Ground Environment network, as well as providing radar coverage for the Highlands Army Air Defense Site. The site's 240 acres (97 ha) is now the Rocky Point section in Hartshorne Woods Park of the Monmouth County Parks System.
