The Tuira Church (Finnish : Tuiran kirkko) is an evangelical Lutheran church in Tuira, Oulu. The church building has been designed by architect Harald Andersin and it was inaugurated as a chapel of Oulu parish in 1916. The parish of Oulu was divided into smaller parishes in 1966 and the chapel in Tuira was inaugurated as a church. At the time the first extension of the church was started according to plans of architect Mikko Huhtela. The current form is from 1992 when the second extension of the building was completed. [1]

The Suomenlinna Church in Helsinki, Finland, was built in 1854 as an Eastern Orthodox garrison church for the Russian troops stationed at the Suomenlinna sea fortress. The fortress comprises five islands joined together by bridges, and the church is the central feature on the island of Iso Mustasaari, located at its highest point. It is surrounded by other fortress buildings, but the old parade ground is immediately to the east, and a park lies immediately to the south. It is oriented southwest to northeast so that it would align with the Crownwork Ehrensvärd defense front located to the southwest of the church.

Taulumäki Church

Taulumäki Church is the principal Lutheran church in Jyväskylä, the administrative centre of the Central Finland region. Designed by architect Elsi Borg (1893–1958), its construction began in 1928. The church was inaugurated on October 27, 1929, and replaces the 1885 church designed by Ludvig Isak Lindqvist, which had burned down on January 27, 1918.
