Tulu'i Islam

"Tulu'i Islam" ("Dawn of Islam") is an Urdu poem written by Muhammad Iqbal, expounding on the birth and glory of Islam.

The name of this poem is the namesake of various organizations and magazines like tolu-i-Islam(magazine) and tolu-i-Islam((Organization). [1] [2] [3] [4]

دليل صبح روشن ہے ستاروں کی تنک تابی افق سے آفتاب ابھرا، گيا دور گراں خوابی

عروق مردۂ مشرق ميں خون زندگی دوڑا سمجھ سکتے نہيں اس راز کو سينا و فارابی

مسلماں کو مسلماں کر ديا طوفان مغرب نے تلاطم ہائے دريا ہی سے ہے گوہر کی سيرابی

عطا مومن کو پھر درگاہ حق سے ہونے والا ہے شکوہ ترکمانی، ذہن ہندی، نطق اعرابی

اثر کچھ خواب کا غنچوں ميں باقی ہے تو اے بلبل نوا را تلخ تر می زن چو ذوق نغمہ کم يابی

Syed Ali Ausat Zaidi was a renowned Urdu Soazkhawan. He was born in Meerut in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh in 1932 and died in Karachi, Pakistan in 2008. He hold the prestigious and eminent position of Soazkhawan for presenting soaz, salam and marsiya on Pakistan Television, Radio Pakistan, ARY Television Network, GEO TV, Indus TV and TV2Day for several years.

Syed Nazeer Niazi was an eminent Muslim scholar, professor and journalist. He was one of the leading activists of the Pakistan movement. He was James Boswell of Allama Iqbal. His biography of Iqbal, Iqbal kay Hazoor, and Maktoobat-e-Iqbal Banaam Nazir Niazi are basic sources for the study of Iqbal. During the last two years of Iqbal's life, he regularly visited him and recorded his conversation in his book "Iqbal Kai Hazoor". He completed this conversation in three volumes, but unfortunately the last two volumes were destroyed. Only first volume was published.

Chupke Chupke Raat Din is a popular ghazal written by Maulana Hasrat Mohani. The music composition is based on Raga Kafi. It is a classical Urdu poem that represents the culture of the Mughal Dynasty. The poem became famous after it was sung by Ghulam Ali. This piece was also included in the film Nikaah (1982) in a shorter version.

Jamiatul Qasim Darul Uloom -il-Islamia is an Islamic seminary in India. The Jamia was established by Mufti Mahfoozur Rahman Usmani, an Islamic scholar of India in 1989 at the Indo-Nepal border, in Supaul, Bihar. Saleem Kausar, born Muhammad Saleem is a Pakistani Urdu poet. He has published several poetry books. He has also written various title songs for different TV serials. He has attended several poetry symposiums (Mushaira) in various countries.

Ada Jafarey, often spelled Ada Jafri, was a Pakistani poet who is regarded as the first major female Urdu poet to be published and has been called "The First Lady of Urdu Poetry". She was also an author and was considered a prominent figure in contemporary Urdu literature. She received awards from the Government of Pakistan, the Pakistan Writers' Guild, and literary societies of North America and Europe in recognition of her efforts.

Composite Nationalism and Islam is a book written in 1938 by Hussain Ahmed Madani, the Dean of Darul Uloom Deoband, espousing composite nationalism: a united India for both Muslims and non-Muslims. The book opposed the Partition of India and in it, Madani advocated for "the ideal of a 'composite nationalism' within a united India, which he thought would be more conducive to the spread and prosperity of his community over the entire subcontinent than any religious partition."

Rafeeq Saudagar is an Indian Urdu poet and doctor. He is the President of the Anjuman Muhibban-e-Urdu. He was awarded the "Achievers Award" by the Karnataka Urdu Academy and the Karnataka Centre Muslim Association in Raichur on 23 June 2019. He is from Yadgir district, Karnataka.

"Mujh Se Pehli Si Mohabbat Mere Mehboob Na Maang" is an Urdu nazm by Faiz Ahmad Faiz. The song is popular through its rendition by singer Noor Jehan and has been notably performed by many others. According to Faiz, the nazm also marks his transition from romantic work of his earlier years to mature works of his later years.
