Alanna Nash reviews the album for Entertainment Weekly and writes, "Now comes his debut vocal album, Turning for Home, one of the best surprises of the new year. Reid is an all-around winner: His upbeat songs ("Walk on Faith") work as both thoughtful and intimate vignettes and as snappy radio rotation. And as a singer, he's alternately gruff and sensitive, with a gift for emotional directness." [4]
People concludes their review with, "While the songs are articulate and smooth, especially the up-tempo "I'll Stop Loving You," they are easier to tune out than they might be. Vocal charisma is hard to define; nonetheless, there aren't many signs of it on this album." [5]
Thom Owens wrote in his retrospective AllMusic review that, "Turning for Home is Mike Reid's most consistent release, demonstrating not only his talent for crafting a fine contemporary country song, but also his ability to deliver it. Reid had long been known for writing terrific commercial songs, but with Turning for Home, he showed that he could sing them with emotion as well as any other singer." [3]

Faith is the third studio album by American country music artist Faith Hill, released in 1998. Due to the success of the single "This Kiss" in Australia and the UK, the album was released under the title Love Will Always Win, featuring the title track, a new version of "Piece of My Heart" and two new versions of "Let Me Let Go", which replace "You Give Me Love", "My Wild Frontier", "Just to Hear You Say That You Love Me" and the original version of "Let Me Let Go". It was certified six-times Platinum by the RIAA for shipments of over six million copies in the United States. Two songs off of the album, "This Kiss" and "Let Me Let Go", were both nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
Shenandoah is an American country music band founded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, in 1984 by Marty Raybon, Ralph Ezell, Stan Thorn, Jim Seales, and Mike McGuire. Thorn and Ezell left the band in the mid-1990s, with Rocky Thacker taking over on bass guitar; Keyboardist Stan Munsey joined the line up in 1995, until his departure in 2018. The band split up in 1997 after Raybon left. Seales and McGuire reformed the band in 2000 with lead singer Brent Lamb, who was in turn replaced by Curtis Wright and then by Jimmy Yeary. Ezell rejoined in the early 2000s, and after his 2007 death, he was replaced by Mike Folsom. Raybon returned to the band in 2014. That same year, Jamie Michael replaced the retiring Jim Seales on lead guitar.

The album produced Mattea's first Number One hit on the Billboard country charts in its lead-off single "Goin' Gone". Following this song was another Number One hit, "Eighteen Wheels and a Dozen Roses", then "Untold Stories" and "Life as We Knew It", both of which reached #4. "The Battle Hymn of Love" was later released as a single from Mattea's 1990 album A Collection of Hits. Like Walk the Way the Wind Blows before it, this album includes a cut originally found on Nanci Griffith's 1986 album The Last of the True Believers, this time in the track "Goin' Gone". Take a Back Road is the fourth studio album by American country music artist Rodney Atkins. It was released on October 4, 2011, by Curb Records. The album's first single, its title track", is the fastest-rising and sixth number one hit of Atkins' career. The second single, "He's Mine," was previously recorded by Billy Ray Cyrus on his 2009 album Back to Tennessee. "Just Wanna Rock N' Roll" was released as the album's third single in June 2012.

It was Conley's final album for RCA and his final to chart. "Shadow of a Doubt" was the first single released from the album and went to No. 8 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart on August 23, 1991. The second release, "Brotherly Love" peaked at No. 2 on the country singles chart on November 15, 1991.
